ALT Quote says Yoga can be helpful for all people, including and perhaps especially those with disabilities, in feeling better in their bodies, calmer in their minds, and more connected to their communities. Through my training, research, and experience teaching yoga to individuals with special health needs with Specialty Athletic Training, I’ve found that students respond well to the social aspect of class, playful and inclusive breathwork and movement, and self-soothing practices. After class, most students express feeling calm and in less physical pain than they were before class. Picture is of fit blonde woman in black yoga attire, posing with arm out to side.

The weight-room is special because it only rewards those that work. It values tenacity over talent. It doesn’t care about ⭐️’s or playing time. It’s a sanctuary where athletes aren’t subject to scrutiny from the outside world. The weight-room is a equal opportunity equalizer.

I hate the saying “if you’re the smartest person in the room you’re in the wrong room”
So were Einstein, Newton and Bill Gates always in the wrong room?
If you think you are the smartest person in the room you are probably an egotistical douchebag.

As the parent of a child on the autism spectrum, this issue touches me personally. Autism affects 1 in 59, but current resources don't meet the needs of these neurologically atypical children. We must end the stigma and better serve these children and families.
We have a long ways to go as a society
