✨ASTRONOMY ✨Phantoms in Cassiopeia
These brightly outlined flowing shapes look ghostly on a cosmic scale. A telescopic view toward the constellation Cassiopeia , the colorful skyscape features the swept-back, comet-shaped clouds IC 59 (left) and IC 63. About 600 light-years distant, the clouds aren't actually ghosts. They are slowly disappearing though, under the influence of energetic radiation from hot, luminous star gamma Cas
🛰️SPACE NEWS🛰️ Pedal to the Metal: NASA’s Psyche Heads Toward Asteroid Belt
On Sept. 28, the spacecraft began to use its propulsion system nearly continuously, pausing just once each week to check in with mission controllers on Earth. This keeps the mission on track for its rendezvous with the asteroid Psyche in the main asteroid belt by the summer of 2029.
🚀SPACE NEWS🚀 NASA’s Swift Mission Ends Ahead of Re-Entry
NASA’s Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory has concluded operations, leaving behind a legacy of innovation and a treasure trove of science observations. The spacecraft is expected to re-enter the atmosphere in the next few weeks.
🛰️Swift Studies Gas-Churning Monster Black Holes⚫

Scientists using observations from NASA’s Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory have discovered, for the first time, the signal from a pair of monster black holes disrupting a cloud of gas in the center of a galaxy.
The dual black holes are in the core of a galaxy called 2MASX J21240027+3409114, located 1 billion light-years away in the northern constellation Cygnus. They’re about 16 billion miles (26 billion kilometers) apart, close enough that light only takes a day to travel between them. Together they contain 40 million times the Sun’s mass.
Scientists estimate the black holes complete an orbit every 130 days and will collide and merge in approximately 70,000 years.
Space Coast Rocket Launches 🚀💫📡🪐 retweeted
At the Hokkaido Space Summit 2026, @Astro_Wakata, Axiom Space’s CTO for Asia Pacific, shared how we’re advancing low-Earth orbit by partnering with industry, nations, and academia to shape the future of human spaceflight, exploration, and discovery.
The team also made progress at LC-36B yesterday. Roughly 450 truckloads of concrete, lined up bumper-to-bumper and stretching nearly 3 miles up the coast, supported a 4,500-cubic-yard pour for the pile caps. Three more placements to go for a total of 15,000 cubic yards. This is the foundation for our New Glenn 9x4 pad.

🚀Space Junk Lands in Field in Minnesota🛰️
Official agencies are still working to verify the exact owner, space analysts at Ars Technica tracked the object down to a launch by the Chinese private aerospace company LandSpace.
The physical dimensions align perfectly with the 11-foot diameter upper stage of the Zhuque-2E rocket, which was launched on September 15, 2026. After successfully deploying a payload of 10 satellites into orbit, the rocket stage was purposely deorbited.
Its trajectory passed over the Americas, coinciding with numerous reports of dazzling, fiery streaks illuminating the night sky across the United States in mid-September. 🌌🚀
