That's exactly what happened and I wanted Charlie to have it back. I wanted to give the ball to him directly but Giants management said no. I had fun and I'll be out there tonight for more fun! #SFGIANTS @SFGIANTS

#McCoveyCove is full of #SFGiants fans on this lovely Saturday evening. I shot a few shirts into the water and @mccoveycovedave seemed to be right there for most of them. He’s got a real nose for the “ball”...like a blood hound in a kayak! @SplashHitSteve...maybe next time! 🤪

The Oakland A’s are saddened by the loss of Willie McCovey. He was a positive fixture in the San Francisco community and we were fortunate enough to have him as a part of our organization for a brief time. Our thoughts are with his family during this time of mourning.
