Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Day, everyone! A martyr for peace. For love. For truth. He reminded us we are all connected. No matter where our journey began. May his teachings echo eternally throughout humanity, and his vision of a more peaceful, gracious world be our North Star.
Mission complete! #BadMagic tops off my journey through each #Motorhead album, 1st to last. #Lemmy was relentless! An album every year or two straight up to his death. And not a clunker in the bunch! Steely consistency. Top songwriting throughout. What a legacy! @myMotorhead 🤘
Happy #Stantennial Birthday to #StanTheMan ! Baseball’s perfect warrior! Stan still ranks #4 behind only Pete Rose, Ty Cobb, and Hank Aaron as MLB’s all-time hits leaders. Note he played fewer seasons than all three and spent one year in his prime serving in the U.S. Navy. ❤️⚾️
The mission continues! I’m near the halfway point of Mötorhead’s entire catalog. NB: #MarchOrDie !!! @myMotorhead #Lemmy #NonStop #Motorhead #NWOBHM #HeavyMetal #Weekend
And so it begins. In honor of #Lemmy ‘s relentless commitment to rock’n’roll, I’ll be listening exclusively to Motörhead’s full catalog 1st album to last starting now! What’s your favorite Mötorhead album or song, tweeters? @myMotorhead

Happy #MLKDay ! In a world saturated with catch-phrases and slogans, context is increasingly vital. I’m grateful to hear MLK’s final speech IN FULL. Verification of his true human greatness. Not a poster. Not a quote. MLK was real as rain. youtube.com/watch?v=ixfwGLxR…
#DeSoto #Missouri Main Street. My car was stuck twice on my way home. Rescued first by lone determination and a dust pan turned snow shovel. Rescued second by the help of two big-hearted DeSoto folks. Be careful out there rock’n’rollers! #snowmageddon #Winter #2019 ❄️⛄️❄️
Fun night seeing super-talented comedian @marymackcomedy at the Funny Bone last night with my awesome pal, Dan Kelley and his better half, Sarah! This is the first in a series of award-winning photos I will be taking of wonderful humans. #art #comedy #goodtimes #goodhumans 🌎😇🏆
Heart ripped out. Came home to a text from @therealbassamp informing me #KimShattuck passed away. This one hurts. The first time I met Kim was in 1997 at the Side Door in St. Louis. “Hi, I’m Matt from St. Louis.” “Hi! I’m Kim from LA.”
We were so lucky to have her in our world. I will miss the sound of Kim hammering out jangle pop on a Gretsch BST through a Tube Screamer and a Vox. I will miss the sound of Kim’s distinctive scream through suffering PA speakers. I will miss Kim’s passion for music and life.
I only met Kim a few times. LA is a long way from St. Louis. But I’m still devastated by this loss. I became close with many in the pop punk community through the years. And I’m thinking of our whole music community. And what a tough loss this is for us.
