Dance has been held back by those leading PE in schools in favour of "British" & traditional Olympic Sports - mainly for jingoistic agendas. Unfortunately, Dance is a fragmented community & this has not helped. Dance has the power to transform people's health at population level.
The number of references to #dance & #movement at the @_ukactive #NationalSummit was incredible. The opportunity is clearly there to fulfil a role in #socialprescribing to improve mental & physical #wellbeing for many individuals and communities #dutyofcare
