Sony could make billions on this.. and they should. All the while, they'd be giving us all an incredible creative universe to share games, art, and music.
Tim Sweeney of Epic called it "Meta-verse engine" and rightly so. In my 20 years as a professional artist, I've never used a tool as versatile and creatively inspiring as Dreams by the wonderful team at Media Molecule.
My latest explorations in the space between human creativity and generative AI have also shown me that Dreams could be an incredible tool in controlling the power of AI. So focused on the touch of the human creative that we could steer generative AI in a much more exciting direction than with any other tool I've seen.
Dreams is not only a marvel on a technical level, with sculpting tools and rendering technology that, in my opinion, is years ahead of the competition, but also in the way it allows creators to explore so many different aspects of creativity.
For those who don't want to create, there are thousands of amazing games and experiences in Dreams. With multiplayer and, a monetization system, potentially cross-platform support, as has been mentioned by MM on a few occasions, Dreams could be a huge success and a platform that could live for many years and place Sony in the absolute lead when it comes to user-generated universes.
