Nightbooks (2021) is still way too slept on. Sam Raimi produced it and you can feel his style all over. Kristen Ritter is awesome as an evil witch, but she isn’t even in the third act, which cranks the horror up to 100 with bonkers, unhinged horror for kids.

Dang 900 dollars is almost enough to buy an actual copy of the game

TV and broadband provider Virgin Media is going to pay one winning candidate almost $900 to play #GTA6 for eight hours and share their “honest” review of the game on social media. The winner also will get a free copy of the video game. Virgin Media is accepting applications through Nov. 15 for the gig, requiring applicants to explain why they deserve to get the job. The catch? The promotion is being sponsored by Virgin Media Ireland, and the offer is open only to residents of the Republic of Ireland. variety.com/2026/gaming/news…

Travis Knight says that LAIKA will NEVER use generative AI in their films: “AI is theft. It’s the ingestion of years and years and years of human creativity and ingenuity, regurgitated back. It has no humanity. It has no spirit.”

Review of ‘House of the Dead’ (2003) ★½

Well, I've made it 450 poll movies. I imagine 500 will be a bigger deal but hey this was still a thing. I do bad movies for 50th ones and boy this fits the bill. The only Uwe Boll I had seen before…

210. House (1985). Decent. It's all over the place with a slow start but it does get fairly fun with the crazy events. There's also some 'Nam PTSD stuff that works well even if it's at odds with other parts tonally. It's weird but I think I liked it.
