The morning after my dad is released from the hospital we find out his younger brother, my uncle, has passed away unexpectedly. He was on vacation across the country for his 35th wedding anniversary. This man was a huge goofball. He loved Halloween and still in his 60's would dress up, loved Disney, his and my aunt went a lot over the years and was even on vacation to Disneyland when this happened. This was family that understood me and that my goth "phase" wasn't a phase. Him and my aunt even gifted me a life size cut out of Elvira for Christmas 10 years ago and never judged who I was and even bragged to their friends that I worked at a haunted house. I'm so in shock, losing him right before Halloween feels unreal and my heart is with my Dad and his brothers. Spooky season has felt so sad this year..
