So, let's get this right. In the #NHL, contracts are basically meaningless in terms of allegiance to the team a player signs. The latest player to demand a trade is Kucherov. And it has to be to just a certain list of teams that he wants to go to. This league is out of control.

See, it’s not just the Blue Jackets.
Nikita Kucherov and his agent Dan Milstein just wrapped up a meeting within the last half hour with Tampa GM Julien BriseBois advising that the Hart Trophy winner is asking for a trade. Kucherov told his teammates on the plane.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are on a similar trajectory in their quest to win their first Stanley Cup. That means another 32 years to go.

Don't know if this is close to the real one but #CBJ will be getting a grey jersey for sure. The grey doesn't exactly match up with civil war uniform colors worn by the Union army. But maybe people are identifying the grey with Ohio State colors and are okay with it?

Two quick takes.
1. When schedule came out, had this game circled as toughest of early season. Proved true. Battled hard but weren’t able to generate enough.
