It just hit a little harder this weekend because regardless of who contested the finals there was always lengthy discussions and analysis afterwards.
I'm a veteran of United in the 80s being starved of league titles, I never witnessed any like this.
I'm not even from Mayo & it was impossible not to get emotional as the clock counted down to the final whistle - a young, fearless and energetic side ripping up the script.
