Working on the @TXStateMBB season preview and one of the things that slipped past me was the return of Mark Drone.
Drone is back with the Bobcats as a fifth-year senior after averaging 14.2 points last season. A massive get for the team, especially at the guard position.

Wanna guess the #TXST Homecoming game attendance for Saturday?
I have high hopes, this is a Saturday night game and a lot of fun times to be had for alumni, students and orgs.
More or less than: 23,594
That’s what we had for #UIW Family Weekend

Coach Kinne on matchup against Utah State this week:
"I mean, this is a this is a really well coached team. You know, the way we beat Colorado State, this is not -- this is not going to be like that. This is going to be a war."

Tough times since learning about Sissy’s diagnosis in August. So grateful for those who’ve wrapped their arms around us (especially our @txst family).
Being brave isn’t being fearless. It’s carrying on when you’re full of fear. Kristen is SO brave today.
I live her. #NoTypo🩷

So many stories to tell. But a couple that stand out for me. They put a snack machine in our dorm Bexar Hall. First night someone broke into it. Next day at practice. Coach Fran told the team. “Abuse leads to restriction.” We never had another snack machine there.
Texas State Athletics mourns the passing of former head football coach Dennis Franchione.
Rest in peace, Coach Fran. Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat.

Fast forward to me getting offered to play at Texas State, and the first thing Coach Fran told my mom was Mrs. Orakpo, I’m not going 0-2 in your Household 😂.
My Mom loved him ever since. Phenomenal Ball Coach, Grateful to have the luxury of playing for him.

Classic Coach Fran story but my Brother @rak98 was offered first by Fran at A&M. Me my Mom, my sister, and my Dad all wanted him to go to A&M bc we enjoyed Fran and his visit in CS more lol.
Ofc Brian elected to play with Vince Young and eventually chose Texas.
This week’s episode will stream Friday morning!
Sorry for the delay on our thoughts post SDSU loss, but it’ll be worth the wait!
