The scene in Prabhas’ upcoming period drama "Fauzi" depicting a meeting between Netaji and H*tler is entirely fictional. The actual meeting was nothing like this. The following is a broad outline: In May 1942, Bose was flown to "Wolf's Lair," accompanied by Adam von Trott, the director of Special Bureau for India, and Wilhelm Keppler, H*tler's economic advisor. On arrival, he was formally received by Ribbentrop, the German Foreign Minister, and several others, including Martin Bormann representing H*tler. Bose first had discussions with Ribbentrop and Himmler, who had also arrived. The foreign minister then personally accompanied Bose to H*tler's personal study. Bose could speak German but chose to speak in English to avoid any misunderstanding. Bose was received very warmly by H*tler, who first asked Ribbentrop whether Subhas Bose was being looked after well. After they were seated, H*tler asked him about his work in Germany and if he was facing any difficulties. Bose expressed his satisfaction and thanked him for the facilities provided. H*tler then said he deeply appreciated the work done by Bose, adding that India could be freed only by force of arms. The meeting lasted for over an hour, much longer than the time allotted. When Bose left, H*tler shook hands with him and wished India well. #Netaji #SubhasChandraBose #Prabhas‌ #Fauzi

i have open sourced the repo for the Cricket 07 browser port (minus the game files) link: github.com/Dhaiwat10/cricket… tldr of how i did it: • took the original 2006 x86 .exe and statically recompiled it to C (~20k functions, ~1M instructions) • wrote a small windows api layer (heap, files, threads, registry, timers) so the recompiled code can run outside windows. got it booting natively on my mac first • translated the game's direct3d 8 calls to webgpu, including the old dx8 vertex/pixel shaders -> wgsl • compiled the whole thing to wasm with emscripten • multiplayer runs on netplay over websockets with a cloudflare durable object per room

Bust of INA secret service hero Dr Pabitra Mohan Roy, decorated with lights for Durga Pujo in Kolkata in 2020. Pabitra was handpicked by Subhas Chandra Bose for a clandestine mission in India in 1944. He was arrested and awarded a death sentence, but was released under public pressure along with the other INA men. In 1962, Roy met Netaji in Neemsar, Uttar Pradesh, at a Shiva temple. “You must not even by the slightest indication give out that you contacted me at ‘N’. You shall sacrifice your head but keep your lips sealed,” he was told. Until 1985, Roy served as the eyes and ears of his leader, now known as “Gumnami Baba.” He reported back to him everything that he communicated or gathered from all sorts of people, from (then) General Sam Manekshaw to politicians in Bengal. #Netaji #SubhasChandraBose #ChandrachurGhose #AnujDhar #renkojitemple #GumnamiBaba

Remembering the brave soldiers of the Azad Hind Fauj on its Foundation Day. It was on this day in 1943, that the first provisional Govt, led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was formed, which eventually shook the British Empire and forced them to leave India. Tributes to all 🙏

#OTD in 1943, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose declared freedom of India to the world & founded India's first truly functional national government. Each & every country of the Axis bloc recognised India's freedom. Thus today is the 83rd anniversary of India's declaration of freedom day

On this day in 1943, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose set up the Provisional Government of Free India. Had this been done by Mahatma Gandhi, the day would be observed as our Independence Day. As it happened, 15 August was chosen by Lord Mountbatten. The date reminded him of the defeat of Japan and the INA on 15 August 1945. Poster created by: @koushikzworld

Fact check: Netaji did not form Azad Hind Fauj today, he proclaimed the Provisional Government of Free India. The Govt was recognised by several countries. The Fauj was a part of it.

This is more "dreadful" than you can possibly imagine. The so-called Gumnami Baba was Netaji. He maintained contact with the top leadership of the Sangh. Praised Sangh. If you do not believe me, ask the Forward Bloc lawyer before the Mukherjee Commission.

Spare us the lecture on “regime change is normal in a democracy.” You know exactly what the phrase means when Prashant Bhushan and AISA’s Neha Bora use it while invoking Bangladesh’s Gen Z street movement that toppled a government outside the electoral calendar. That is not “oppose, expose and depose through elections.” That is a deliberate attempt to normalise extra-constitutional pressure, street veto and manufactured unrest. If it is only about elections, why the hurry? Why the Bangladesh template? Why frame protests against the Election Commission as a “fight for regime change”?In a real democracy, governments change when voters decide at the ballot box, not when a handful of activists and opposition leaders decide the system is “dictatorial” the moment they keep losing. You yourself have used the phrase in purely electoral contexts before. The difference is context, and this context reeks of anarchy-shopping. The BJP is not “apoplectic with feigned rage.” We are simply refusing to pretend that “regime change” + Bangladesh reference = routine parliamentary opposition. India is not Bangladesh. Our institutions, our voters and our Constitution will decide the next government in 2029, not street theatrics dressed up as high principle. Do your job in Parliament and on the campaign trail. Stop trying to import instability and then gaslight the country about dictionary definitions.
Why is the BJP apoplectic with feigned rage on the use of the phrase 'regime change'? 'Regime change' is normal in a democracy The duty of the Opposition is to 'oppose, expose and depose' the government Which means: oppose in politics, expose in Parliament and depose through elections

Too much unnecessary discussion around Starlink ! We need services like Starlink in India and as a creator I personally want them as soon as possible. But security and proper protocols should always come first. Any company following these requirements is welcome. I would prefer Jio, Airtel or any other Indian company to step forward and offer a similar service. If it takes time - we can wait !
We have worked closely with regulators, industry and operators in India for 5+ years, and built a network of dedicated systems, gateways, and other infrastructure all in-country to exclusively serve Indian traffic safely and securely - and all with the requisite government approvals. Starlink is ready to connect India with high-speed internet.

To the geniuses who claim otherwise: Online hate has real-world consequences.
BREAKING: Mass Shooting Plot Targeting Sri Venkateswara Temple in Aurora, Illinois, Foiled A 19-year-old suspected white supremacist, Alexandros Paporakis, has been arrested for allegedly plotting a mass shooting at a Hindu place of worship in Aurora, Illinois. Investigators say the suspect had been planning the attack for two years and allegedly targeted Indians and South Asians. Police recovered an AR-style rifle, ammunition and tactical gear. A potentially devastating hate-driven attack may have been prevented. Paporakis worked as a cashier at a Taco Bell in Arlington Heights for nearly seven months. According to a co-worker who spoke to investigators, Paporakis regularly made racist remarks, particularly targeting Indians. He openly identified himself as a white supremacist and frequently spoke about Nazis and armed struggle.

The government needs to be kept in check. That’s the whole point of democracy and this responsibility resides with opposition, ask the right questions, stand up for the people of India, and demonstrate through their own governance that they can do better. That’s what the BJP managed to do before 2014. Its performance and governance in states where it held power helped it present itself as an alternative at the national level. The opposition needs to do the same today. Deliver results in the states it governs, build public trust, and show the rest of India what its vision looks like in practice, rather than just coming onto streets. Because questioning the government is only one part of the job. The other is proving that you can govern better. Otherwise a party with a vision is better than an one whose only goal is to bring down the ruling party, without any proof that they will govern better.
Okay, then judge the government on its promises and performance. Has it delivered? Are you satisfied with how it is running the country? If your answer is No, why vote for them? You don’t have to become a Congress/AAP/etc supporter to question BJP. You don’t have to love another party to give it a chance. You should never be a blind supporter of any party. Your loyalty should be to the country and your own future. Whoever don't work, change them. I know, changing a government doesn’t guarantee things will improve. But telling those in power “whatever you do, I’ll still vote for you” removes the pressure to improve. You have every right to demand better and choose differently. That is not hatred for any party. That is accountability. And accountability should be asked from the ruling party. They have all the money, they have all the resources, they have all the power. If they still can't work, change them. Just because the opposition is weak we cannot keep supporting an existing failed government.
