Our BRAND-NEW Mahindra XUV 7XO has developed multiple alarming defects that have left us genuinely afraid to drive the vehicle. The issues we are experiencing: • Hill Descent Control activates on its own and the manual HDC button does not respond or switch it off. • The vehicle suddenly and aggressively slows down when the accelerator is released, almost as though the brakes are being applied. This is extremely dangerous and could have serious consequences in moving traffic. • The vehicle struggles to move unless the engine is revved to nearly 3,000 RPM. • The transmission is not shifting normally into higher gears, leaving the vehicle struggling at high RPM. • Before this, we repeatedly reported an abnormal whistling noise during acceleration. This was later traced to the turbo/intercooler connection not being fitted/connected properly. How does a BRAND-NEW Mahindra leave the dealership with problems like these? What is equally unacceptable is the response from ANANT MAHINDRA / ANANT CARS. Despite repeatedly explaining that this is a SAFETY issue and that we do not feel comfortable driving the vehicle, we have experienced an appalling lack of urgency, assistance and accountability. The people handling our case are: Alwyn — Branch Manager, Anant Mahindra Mysore Arpitha — Salesperson, Anant Mahindra Mysore Suresh — Service Manager, Bengaluru @MahindraRise, this needs CORPORATE INTERVENTION NOW. Investigate why a brand-new XUV 7XO was delivered with an improperly connected turbo/intercooler component. Investigate this HDC malfunction, the sudden deceleration and transmission issue. And investigate how Anant Mahindra has handled our repeated requests for help. We expect Mahindra to take appropriate action against those responsible based on its investigation and provide an immediate, permanent resolution to these defects. We paid for a BRAND-NEW VEHICLE. We should not be left with a vehicle we are afraid to drive while chasing the dealership to take us seriously.
