Indigenous Veterans Day: my dad was just a wee Métis boy during the war. He told me that he would pick milkweed fluff for making life jackets for those going oversees. Women and children in our communities were also doing their part.
Honoring Indigenous Veterans on this day, especially my mishomis from Henvey Inlet FN who lied about his age for WWI and went back for WWII

There have been at least 4,000 #MMIWG in Canada in the last 30 years. Ask yourself how this has not occupied your news daily. Ask yourself if that makes sense. How are we not doing more to save our Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people?

There are 231 Calls for Justice out of the National Inquiry in MMIWG - released two years ago - and the Liberal government hasn’t fully implemented any of them. Not one. After a $92 million inquiry. #elxn2021
