💔🐾💔NO REHOMING ENQUIRIES PLEASE - MUM & FOUR TINY PUPS ABANDONED💔🐾💔 Another emergency, another heartbreaking situation & five more little lives needing our help We received a call through one of the Local Authorities we work with, asking if we could help a mum & her four tiny puppies who had been found abandoned. It’s almost impossible to believe that in today’s society, a mother & her newborn babies can simply be discarded like this but sadly, this is the reality we are facing more & more often We acted quickly, & thankfully, one of our wonderful puppy foster homes had space to take them in Within a short time, this little family was moved to safety, somewhere warm, comfortable & surrounded by people who care When we opened Greenacres Rescue nearly 20 years ago, seeing a mum & her puppies coming into rescue was quite unusual. Today, it’s becoming frighteningly common. We have never known things to be as bad as they are now, & it genuinely breaks our hearts. These are vulnerable little lives, completely dependent on us humans to do right by them, yet somewhere along the way, someone has let them down terribly We’ve named this beautiful mum Luna. She’s a Bichon cross & although we have no idea what breed the puppies’ father was, we do know that her four babies are approximately 7–10 days old. All five are now safe, settled & doing well For now, Luna’s only job is to be a mum, to feed her babies, keep them warm & raise them without another worry in the world. We will take care of everything else ‼️Please note that Luna and her puppies are NOT available for adoption & we are not accepting enquiries for them at this stage. Please don't add to our teams' workload by emailing, messaging or phoning about rehoming Mum or puppies. Thank you‼️ Every emergency like this comes with a cost. With so many animals already depending on us, our resources are stretched further than ever.
