been digging into @StakeToby and i think most people are sleeping on this one. quick backstory — back in march 2024 the biggest solana public mempool got shut off overnight. one entity flipped the switch and every team building on it got wrecked. that moment exposed a real problem — solana has a single chokepoint for blockspace and that's dangerous. the numbers right now aren't great either. validators dropped from around 2,500 to 800. running one costs 40-50k a year and you need about 4.5M in delegated stake just to break even. staking APY looks like 5.9-6.6% but after inflation the real return is closer to 0-3%. the foundation's 3-to-1 rule kicked out 600+ validators in 2025. solana is quietly centralizing. current MEV infra captures less than 20% of what's available. the rest leaks to sandwich attacks, private mempools, and bad routing. 92% of stake sits on one client. broken economics. toby is building an openmev stack that captures up to 70% of potential MEV after stripping sandwiches. that's 3-4x what exists today. 85% goes to validators, 5-10% to searchers, 5% protocol fee and staker rewards. $TOBY holders govern the whole thing — fees, auction rules, validator standards. the public sale is live right now. 50M tokens, 5% of 1B supply, fully unlocked at TGE. pro-rata allocation so no gas wars or whitelist nonsense. your deposit converts to genSOL and earns staking yield while the sale runs. even if it's oversubscribed and you get refunded you keep the yield. sale closes march 28, 2pm utc. i'm in. do your own research but this one feels like actual infrastructure not another narrative token. publicsale.toby.so

remember when jito went under the radar and was one of the best performing defi airdrops along with one of the best performing tokens in late 2023/early 2024 tingling feeling solana degens will start noticing toby post launch public sale ends tomorrow btw
If the $TOBY sale is oversubscribed, what happens? 1) Your deposit converts to genSOL 2) It earns staking yield while the sale runs 3) If there’s excess, it gets refunded 4) The yield earned in the meantime is yours So depositing earlier = your capital works while you wait. We’re @Solana aligned, will be, and have been working with the Solana Foundation to help push Solana’s mission forward over the next 5 years. 🦦 The sale closes tomorrow: March 28, 2PM UTC. My Journey with @StakeToby😎 From Testnet Builder to Mainnet Contributor. I didn’t just join early. I stayed, contributed, and helped build. While most were waiting, I was already testing, learning, and understanding the system. This is my journey ↓

At the end of the day, we go back to improving infra. This is why Toby is focused on optimizing the Solana validator experience through OpenMEV. As we build an ecosystem that rewards legitimate validators, we contribute to a healthier Solana. IBRL.
What’s different about this bear market vs any other is that instead of asking me about runway or if we will survive, everyone is yelling at me to increase block space or reduce slot times. IBRL

One of the great things about OpenMEV is that whether in bull or bear markets, Toby can still succeed. As OpenMEV is focused on validator optimization and maximizing staking yield, OpenMEV provides value to Solana despite market volatility. We're here for it. Q1 2026. OpenMEV.

If you want to be a serious builder in Solana, It will always be about liquidity over web3 hype. It will always be about infra over vanity metrics. That's why Toby exists: To optimize yield for stakers, and grow the Solana validator ecosystem. Say it with us, "OpenMEV."

Listen, there's a clear way to improve the Solana ecosystem. It starts by helping our Solana validators build a profitable business. Upon our Q1 launch, OpenMEV will: 1) Allow validators to earn more predictable revenue 2) Make validators less reliant on inflation 3) Give better returns on the same hardware. RT this post to attract more high-quality Solana validators.

Solana's base yield SUCKS, for now. This is why the yields across all DeFi apps are LOW compared to other chains. Today, inflationary rewards are around ~5–6% APY, and dApps are heavily dependent on it to survive. That's not good, right? But! There’s another source of value hiding in plain sight that hasn't been captured 'correctly'. Enter: MEV. More specially, OpenMEV. Every time someone swaps tokens, gets liquidated, or trades perps on Solana, extra value is created during execution. Solana sees $20B–$60B+ in trades every month, and all of that activity creates MEV. Anyone can rebalance pools on chain, gaining positive value, and earn the rewards within the Solana ecosystem. That's called arbitrage, it exists in all markets, and helps to keep prices in balance, and you get the best token prices. Onchain arbitrage is just 1 example, and MEV is really diverse. Systems like Jito already show that MEV can add ~5–15% extra rewards on top of normal staking during busy markets, but that's small, at times it only accounts to 20% of the opportunities to what's competitive on other chains. Today, a lot of MEV is captured through private systems no one can see. Toby’s OpenMEV changes that. Our system allows you to see and TOUCH what’s being built within the block in real-time, transparently and publicly, through our Block Chef mempool. That means: 1) Real app activity turns into extra yield that flows back down the stack. 2) Validators and stakers earns more rewards, and apps run in a public environment instead of a black box. To recap: 1) Apps create the activity. 2) OpenMEV turns the activities into extra yield. 3) Extra yield gets shared with everyone. 4) Everyone's wallets get fatter. That’s Toby at work on Solana. OpenMEV.

Most people think yield on Solana comes from “staking APY”. That’s outdated. The real foundational yield of Solana now flows from network activity itself, and every serious protocol taps into it, whether they admit it or not. At the base layer, Solana produces value through: • Blockspace demand • Priority fees • MEV (arbitrage, liquidations, orderflow) • Validator execution efficiency This value is generated before any DeFi app, token, or incentive layer exists. Every Solana project sits on top of this flow. DEXs generate swap volume → priority fees spike. NFT mints create contention → blockspace auctions intensify. Memecoins increase TPS → MEV and tips rise. Perps & lending trigger liquidations → atomic MEV opportunities. Protocols don’t create yield from nothing. They route it. Liquid staking protocols route validator rewards. MEV infrastructure routes transaction ordering value. Perp DEXs route liquidation flow. Aggregators route orderflow. The more activity a protocol attracts, the more it feeds the same underlying network: validators competing to build the most valuable block. That’s why: • Priority fees now rival base inflation • MEV tips dominate validator revenue during peak activity • Staking yield increasingly depends on execution quality, not just uptime Solana has matured. Yield is no longer inflation-driven, it’s activity-driven, feeding back into the Real Economic Value (REV) justifies Solana's valuation. Solana’s real innovation isn’t speed or low fees, it’s that every action is economically optimized. And the protocols that understand this don’t chase yield. They position themselves in the flow of it. OpenMEV.

Staking on Toby is how MEV gets fixed on Solana. When you stake to Toby-enabled validators, you are not just MAXIMIZING your staking rewards, you can also CHOOSE to let the Solana network run more efficiently. This is by deciding to choose Toby validators that: have low commission, run the latest validator software, have high uptime, and contribute to the wider Solana ecosystem. By staking on Toby, you're able to combat bad MEV bots that just spam trades. We need stakers like YOU 🫵 on Toby. Stake NOW using the link below! 🫡

Validators can't survive with simply inflationary yields. A better real yield system is the solution, an open one that incentivizes more chain activities and active pool rebalancing. The opportunities are in the long tail. OpenMEV.
solana requires $17m stake for validators to break even at 0% commission. validator count crashed from 2,500 to 795 since march 2023. two validators publicly quit in december citing unsustainable losses. network generates $1.4b annual revenue but only whales can afford to validate. centralization accelerating as price bleeds 53% from highs

ye that's the core problem. aside from the inflation "yield" and some random tips, solana lacks REAL and sustainable yields. this is why you see small and medium validators dying out in waves, leaving the entire chain ops to super-minorities (big validators). we will solve this with Toby, giving out REAL OpenMEV yield to form the new base yield supporting all protocols on solana. get real yields, or die trying.
This. THIS is why small, independent validators are dying and Solana is on the fast track to becoming a centralized brochain. In order to be profitable as a validator you have to have massive stake in order to recoup enough through fees/tips. BUT, It makes no economic sense to stake with a lower returning validator and earn less money so everyone stakes where their money makes the most. The giants at the top already take 0% commission and their SWQoS allocation all but guarantees them the juiciest MEV transactions, so they'll continue to outperform anyone else. We've built an echo chamber.
