Staley Alumni

Congrats to @SHSFalcons' Viridiana Bawcom! Viridiana seared her name into Staley history books by placing first at the FCCLA Missouri State Culinary Competition and moving on to earn a silver medal at the national competition in San Diego, California. Great work, Viridiana!

Students from our high schools visited businesses like @bros_hawaiian, @Arkema_Inc, @SETWorksUS, & @GarneyConstruct before winter break to job shadow experts in their respective fields. Learn more about our Pathways program here: nkcschools.org/Page/6400

Winter Break begins after school today, Dec. 17! District offices and schools will be closed Dec. 20-Jan.2, with the exception of board candidate sign-ups on Dec. 27 and 28. Students and staff will return on Monday, Jan. 3. Enjoy the break and we'll see you in the new year!

“It’s a little bit about basketball, it’s a lot more about life.” Those are words to live by, according to @SHSFalcons athletes that recently volunteered at @WeShelterKC. Hear why they say community service is inspiring them to help others beyond the holidays & high school.

Real-world learning is an important part of education at NKC Schools! Last week, students at all four high schools visited locations across the KC area to get a behind-the-scenes look at how the businesses operate day-to-day.

On this #VeteransDay we are inspired by all those who have served our country and proud of those who bring their experience to #NKCSchools. They are now serving students throughout the district and making a difference. Here are just a few of our heroes. We salute you!
