Israeli flags were set on fire outside the Word of Faith International Christian Centre in North York early this morning, in what police are investigating as a hate crime.
On the third anniversary of October 7, as the Jewish community mourns and commemorates the victims and those whose lives were forever changed, this is a particularly cruel act of intimidation and a stark reminder of the depths to which antisemitic hatred can sink.
We hope the investigation leads to an arrest and that those responsible are held accountable.
