Vance: "Because, you know, I've always been interested in this stuff. I haven't really spent the time to try to understand it. Now that I do have a top-secret security clearance, that has changed. I'm actually reading a book right now by a guy, I think his name is Jay Patterson."

Vance also made a joke about James Talarico being an alien. It wasn't funny but everybody laughed.
Talarico has a very good chance of being the first Democrat to win a senate seat in Texas, via election, since 1988.
