@StandoutForAll's partnership with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) (@MobseTheGambia) is now formalised through a signed MoU. Following the signing, our Executive Director, Faith Ememodo (@Faithyemeh), paid a courtesy visit to Anna Nancy Mendy, Director of Early Childhood and Inclusive Education, and Fatou Bittaye, Director of Science and Technology Education. Together, they discussed current projects and the programmes we will deliver to advance inclusive and quality education for every child and young person in The Gambia. Today, our Executive Director, Faith Ememodo (@Faithyemeh), represented @StandoutForAll on a panel at the Women in STEM & FORCE-N Senegal (@forcensenegal) conference on Education in the Age of AI. She shared 4T Framework on how schools can evaluate the accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness of AI tools before integrating them: TEST – Is it accurate? TRUST – Is it safe and fair? TRAIN – Are teachers ready? TRACK – Is learning improving? She also reminded us that Africa is 18% of the world's population but contributes less than 3% of AI training data. We must move from AI built for us to AI built by us. It was also an honor to meet Almamy Kontè, Head of Promotion of Scientific Culture, at FORCE-N Senegal, whose work promoting science and learning aligns with the future we are building for every child. Towards the end of the meeting, we also had the honor of meeting with the Chief of Party, Ms. Lydia Irambona (@kziraly). The meeting was a success, with both organizations aligned on the need for collaboration, expansion, and creating lasting change for children and young people in The Gambia and beyond.
