It might actually be a bit better on narrow view, depending on how it crops the image.
You can also see when they switch to wide view that res goes down substantially. This looks more like 270p then.
Another simple camera with different focal length at that same spot could have easily brought us the same perspective with four times higher resolution.
A camera with two lenses could have provided both views, one for Orion inspection, one for the Moon shots at the same time.
Supposedly they use gopro hero 4 for whatever reason for that Moon shot. This has 90° fov on narrow setting, 5 mm focal length. The Moon would fill about a quarter of the full image at best, but max res is only 1080p. So if they zoom in digitally, only 270p are left for the Moon.
I guess, one explanation could be that they zoomed in on the gopro image which might have a much wider field of view, but then why wouldn't they have a second simple camera which has some zoom lens on it to use for such shots? Or use a better camera altogether?

yeah, but just saving 5 fps on the nutella would give enough budget for a low fps high quality Moon stream. There needs to be another explanation. The camera is supposedly some old gopro. That should be perfectly fine for at least Full HD.
They clearly have a lot of bandwidth budget if they can transmit the nutella flying through the view with what looks to be at least 30 fps...
when the nutella glass is transmitted in higher quality than the Moon😵💫😹 🫣
Don't get me wrong. It's a great mission so far. But I have been stumped for two hours now about why the image on the right is transmitted in such low quality. I have no explanation. Do you have one?

I probably won't use this platform much anymore. Maybe do some unrelated shit posting once in a while.
Merry Christmas! :)
Quick update since I haven't posted in a while: Development is going to be paused for a little longer as I am still looking for a job. I'll might talk more about this and other things in the next monthly report also.

Seems they launched quite a few sats, even though not that many yet: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qianfa…

That's pretty close indeed, considering how early it burst into flames! 😮

For the last one it went full Trump mode 😂
I noticed also, that it puts this stuff on every coding reply lately. So annoying.

On the bright side, the transfer tube seems to be doing a pretty stable job right now! :)

Probably not anytime soon. But this is the case for everything at this point of time.
