We all know @JasonDeCuir knows tax. But did you know he knows ball, too? 🏈
Long before leading Advantous, Jason was a placekicker for @HowardU's 1993 and 1996 Black College Football National Championship teams, including kicking the game-winning field goal in the 1996 Heritage Bowl!
This weekend, Jason will be inducted into the Howard University Athletics Hall of Fame, recognizing his contributions to the Bison football program.
Congratulations, Jason! Another well-deserved Hall of Fame honor to add to the collection! 🏆

Joint Budget gets estimate of $565M surplus from the past fiscal year. The predicted surplus must be certified by the committee and officially be recognized by the Revenue Estimating Conference early next year before the Legislature can appropriate the money. #lalege
Joint statement from @SpkrDeVillier and @Sen_Henry09 : We will use this surplus to strengthen our state’s rainy-day fund, pay down more of our state retirement systems’ debt, improve more roads, complete more capital construction projects around the state and fortify our coast.

"Law enforcement officials are working to intercept any additional letters before they are delivered, however, it is possible that some letters may reach their destinations," the Senate Sergeant at Arms said in the notice sent this morning.

An Elections Division employee opened a package this afternoon around 12:20 p.m. at the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office off Essen Lane in Baton Rouge and found a white powder.
