Assistant Secretary White will be traveling to Germany to attend the EUCOM conference to meet with the region’s U.S. ambassadors to discuss opportunities to deepen our defense-industrial cooperation and reinforce NATO burden-sharing.
Assistant Secretary White met with the Permanent Secretary of the Estonian Ministry of Defense Kristjan Mäe to discuss strengthening the transatlantic defense industrial base and security cooperation on NATO’s Eastern Flank.
DAS Rachel Schiller met with the Vietnam Ministry of National Defense’s National Mine Action Center (VNMAC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs while visiting Hanoi to discuss our shared commitment to address war legacies. United States-Vietnam cooperation on demining and UXO programs are the foundation of a strong U.S-Vietnam partnership.
DAS Rachel Schiller will be traveling to Vietnam and Cambodia to meet with government officials and implementers on PM’s demining and unexploded ordnance programs. These war legacy programs remain foundational to the United States of America’s bilateral relationships with these partners.
Taking a whole-of-government approach at AUSA 2026—Thank you to the Department of Commerce and Department of War for joining PM for a robust discussion focused on how the interagency is implementing long overdue reforms to streamline defense sales and collaborating with the defense industry to support U.S. economic growth.
Earlier this week, Assistant Secretary White met with Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Poulev to discuss Bulgaria’s strong commitment as a NATO ally, the implementation of the F-16 Block 70 fighter jet program, and potential future defense acquisitions.
Assistant Secretary White hosted the welcome reception for the 2026-2028 Defense Trade Advisory Group (DTAG), which will serve as a formal channel for regular consultation and coordination with U.S. industry on issues involving U.S. laws, policies, and regulations for exports of defense articles.

Yesterday, Assistant Secretary White met with Foreign Service Officers and Marine Embassy Guards at U.S. Embassy Amman. The visit centered on strengthening U.S.-Jordan security cooperation, advancing mutual defense priorities, and supporting the critical work of our diplomatic and security personnel in the region.

Assistant Secretary White met with Assistant Minister of Defense His Excellency Dr. Khalid Biyari in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where they discussed strengthening U.S. - Saudi defense relations through recent implementation of the U.S. - Saudi Strategic Defense Agreement (SDA), the formal notification to Congress of F-35s to Saudi, and the deliveries of capabilities in the future.

Assistant Secretary White recently visited @SpaceX's spaceport in Starbase, TX. SpaceX gave a tour of their complex, which employs over 4,000 Americans, and showed the production line of their Starship rocket. SpaceX also shared their proposals for ITAR reform and how regulations could be improved to foster further innovation.
Deputy Assistant Secretary Green engaged with @USPACOM Commander ADM Paparo and other senior leaders at the @NPS_Monterey International Alumni Summit over the summer.
