Love getting the hook with San Francisco in what should be a competitive divisional matchup. The travel situation is one of the most interesting factors here. The 49ers arrived in Australia nearly a week early to acclimate, while the Rams chose to stay on their normal schedule and arrive roughly 24 hours before kickoff. We won’t know which strategy works better until they play, but I’m comfortable siding with SF’s longer acclimation period. San Francisco also gets some major pieces back with Nick Bosa, George Kittle and Dre Greenlaw all entering the game without an injury designation. Meanwhile, the Rams will be without Aaron Donald, taking an elite presence out of the middle of that defensive front. LA has more than enough talent to win outright, but laying more than a field goal against a familiar divisional opponent in the first-ever NFL regular-season game in Australia is a little rich for me. In a matchup I expect to stay within one possession, getting through the key number of 3 matters.
