Dostoiévski estava certo. Nada mata mais a alma humana do que estar no lugar errado cercado pelas pessoas erradas.
This is why they need to win.
In all honesty, the political relationship between Rabiu Kwankwaso and Peter Obi should be viewed as that of political colleagues, not a principal and a subordinate.
If we are assessing political experience, Sen. Kwankwaso arguably has a much longer and more distinguished political résumé than Peter Obi. His decision to accept a deputy position under Obi should be seen as an expression of political humility.
Long before Peter Obi became a figure in national politics, Kwankwaso had already served as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. He went on to serve two terms as Governor of Kano State, Nigeria’s most populous and politically influential state, and as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Peter Obi, by contrast, is only a former Governor of Anambra State.
We should keep the main thing the main thing and not get distracted by trivialities.
Something about the “rig and die” rhetoric is that those who have no intention of rigging see it as a deterrent, while those who plan to rig perceive it as a threat.
Tells you everything about these scroungers.
Esther, take a moment to look at yourself. After years of working with Peter Obi, you still have to come on X to solicit crowdfunding before you can afford a basic work tool like a drone.
Have you ever seen any of Peter Obi’s children come online to beg for financial assistance? Why do politicians' children enjoy comfort while young people who dedicate their lives working for them struggle to afford basic necessities?
Never make a politician your entire future. Build your own life!
Don't let climate change Mandelas see this.
I have a genuine question: who is still showering with actual bars of soap? 😭 Like, you’re telling me you get in the shower, grab a solid block of Dove or Dial, rub it directly on your body, then put it back? No pump bottle, no shower gel, just a whole bar of soap? I genuinely need to understand this demographic.
A family friend who is a male doctor told me a similar story.
To date, he doesn't conduct sensitive medical examination on a female patient without a chaperone present.
I remember when I was in 400L, I discovered a lump in my breast and went to the school hospital.
The male doctor I met refused to examine me because I was a woman. Instead, he sent a female nurse to examine me and report her findings.
The nurse just played around my breast, returned to the doctor and said it was mere tenderness. This doctor prescribed Vitamin C and told me nothing was wrong.
Three days later, I returned because the lump was increasing. This time, I met another male doctor. After I explained what happened, he immediately recognised the doctor I was talking about.
He examined me himself, diagnosed it as a boil and prescribed medication. He also told me that the other doctor behaved that way and that, in a country where the system works, I could sue him.
Thinking about this today makes me wonder: How many patients have suffered under that doctor’s care? How many people has he misdiagnosed or given the wrong prescriptions?
A doctor’s refusal to properly examine a patient is not just unprofessional; it can be dangerous.
Imagine being sent home with Vitamin C when you came to the hospital with a growing lump in your breast. 😩
Given the major advances in obstetrics and general medicine, any doctor who describes pregnancy as a death sentence is being mischievous.
It's better to be a dictator than gay.
As a gay man, I'll say what a lot of us are thinking.
We fought to be left alone. To marry the man we love, keep our jobs, and live a quiet life.
We won.
Then woke activists took our letters, stapled on a dozen causes we never signed up for, and started calling us bigots for saying sex is real.
That isn't our movement anymore.
The fastest way to become poorer is to socialize with the wealthy.
The richest man in the world in the 1960s said the way back from $0 starts with 1 uncomfortable step. It's free, it takes no skill, and most people would rather stay broke than take it.
Aristotle Onassis said that if he ever went flat broke, he wouldn't look for a job or a loan. He would go wherever wealthy people gather, a restaurant, a club, a yacht club, and simply sit in the same room with them. No meetings, no pitching, not even a conversation. Kevin Trudeau says Onassis learned it inside a secret society.
The reason sounds strange, until you remember how Walt Disney started.
Disney was flat broke when he started telling people he was going to build a city. He couldn't even pay his rent. To anyone listening, it made no sense: a man behind on rent, describing a whole city of his own. That city became Disneyland.
That's what Onassis would have been after in those rooms. Sit long enough near people who think in big numbers, and your own idea of what's possible starts to stretch. But a big dream and a dream world are different things: one builds Disneyland, the other just makes you delusional. So the room has to be full of people who have actually made money, not people who only talk about it.
The plan was never about getting a seat at their table, only about being close enough to hear how they think.
Somewhere tonight, a broke 24-year-old is nursing a $6 coffee in a 5-star hotel lobby, listening to strangers talk about deals worth millions.
Find your lobby this week, and save this post for the day you need the push.
Bill Gates would be richer than Elon Musk today if he hadn’t followed Warren Buffett’s advice and given away his Microsoft shares.
BATTLE OF THE BILLIONAIRES! 😁😂🤕💪
Elon Musk shot back at Bill Gates in a billionaire feud, threatening to BUY MICROSOFT just to embarrass him. 😂🤣
“Don’t make me buy Microsoft just to fire him,” Elon Musk joked, flexing his enormous fortune after Gates questioned his accomplishments.
I guess Bill Gates has not heard the phrase, "If you don't want 💩 then don't start 💩!"
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The statement and image depict a conversation that did not occur on X. Elon Musk has not posted about buying Microsoft to fire Bill Gates. His recent post on the topic noted that Gates still has a massive short position against Tesla. x.com/elonmusk/statu…
When a stupid government is elected in a democratic country, the best thing about this is that you learn the number of stupid people in that country!
