This was such a great time recording this. David is a great interviewer and it was lovely getting to share a bit of my story.
Listen in and if you’re in the unite community, I’d highly recommend reaching out to David to record an episode.
Sometimes the people who inspire you can only show you where to start.
@SteelAgentKyle wanted to become a Pokémon UNITE caster. Eventually, he learned he couldn't sound like his inspirations.
He had to find his own voice.

Repost and reply for a chance to win a San Francisco Giants Pokémon Worlds Night jersey!
ALT Detail shots of a Pokémon World Championships-themed San Francisco Giants jersey. The jersey has a logo on the left chest featuring a Poké Ball, the Golden Gate Bridge, a boat sailing in the San Francisco Bay, and a Latios flying overhead. The jersey also has a logo for the Pokémon World Championships 2026 on the right sleeve. The back of the jersey features Pikachu wearing a crown and a cape as well as a silhouette of the Golden Gate Bridge.
2023 NAIC I met the 2 best casters to ever do it. They inspired me to cast Unite.
Doob gave me some of the best advice and coaching over the years to help me become the caster I am today. Jake always was in me and Husky’s corner rooting for us.
Thank you both for everything.
This game and community has meant everything to me. It’s so silly that a free to download mobile game has brought me so much joy in life.
Going to miss this part of my life.
