53 years ago!!!! 😱Davie Whiteford was ‘freed’ around w/e 27 October 1973.
Earlier in the season he asked for a transfer when he couldn’t agree to terms with Motherwell, eventually joining Falkirk.
My favourite Motherwell right back and a member of Motherwell Former Players Club.

My research into St Mirren’s early years has been a deliberate project to learn what the missing/destroyed early minute books might have told us. I do it with the following mantra firmly in mind …
TO APPRECIATE WHO YOU ARE
IT HELPS TO UNDERSTAND
WHERE YOU’VE COME FROM
COYS 😇
