Um den Erfolg von Clayface besser einzuordnen: Horrorfilme spielen durchschnittlich zwischen 16 und 20 Millionen US-Dollar im Kino ein. Ja, es gibt absurde Box-Office-Phänomene wie Obsession oder Hype-Filme wie Backrooms, aber das ist nicht die Norm. Aktuell steht Clayface bei 83 Millionen US-Dollar und ist damit jetzt schon viermal so erfolgreich wie der durchschnittliche Horrorfilm.

It seriously cannot be overstated just how goddamn awful DC’s marketing team is. The whole trend of even using memes and directly responding to people on social media as a marketing strategy is so damn corny and lessens the artistic value your film should have, but using your movie to put down another is an even greater low and shows a lack of professional sportsmanship. This coming literally a day after James Gunn himself said how much he’s honored to have this film be surrounded by various great other movies too? Fire this damn team bro😭
