Life is so much simpler when you stop explaining yourself to people and just do what works for you 🌺

47 years ago today, Prince's "Prince" was released. The second album, and the start of the one-man-band method. Prince playing and producing most of it himself, with “I Wanna Be Your Lover” leading the way.

Never disturb a toddler in this moment! Don’t help. Don’t suggest. Observe. A capable problem solver is in training and development.

Remembering the great D'Angelo, who passed away 1 year ago today. A year on, and it still doesn’t feel real. The voice that made time stop is gone, but the feeling it left never left with it. We miss you, D’Angelo…

I met Jay Z way back. When ‘Big Daddy Kane’ brought him by my house in LA. We’ve always been cool. This pic is from the Grammys.. And YES, he remade ‘99 Problems’ but there was never any Beef or bad Business.. 👑
