Careful what you say around screenwriters. If they go quite all of a sudden they might be thinking “that’s it, you’re going in the screenplay.”
Quick "revisions" on four short-film scripts before they are sent off to a producer. And by revisions, I mean spell check. #amwriting #WritingCommunity
One fun thing I’ve come across being a Writer/Director, sometimes my director takes over during writing & “over-writes” description like blocking. Then other times my writer takes over during production & writes a way out of a director problem. #amwriting #WritingCommunity
It’s a fun give & take I feel. It gives me a much clearer vision in the drafting process so I know exactly what I want it to look like & can rewrite the description in a way that still gets the image across but in a more efficient & evocative way. #amwriting #WritingCommnunity
And it gives me another tool in Production to trouble-shoot on the fly without uttering that horrible phrase of “we’ll fix it in post.” #amwriting #WritingCommunity
