GBR #OlympicTrials - @Thommo10k wins in 2:10:50 and will go to #TokyoOlympics. @bdconnor gets second in 2:12:06, and since he already had the qualifying standard he's on the team, too, joining pre-selected @callhawk.

NYC Parks are undefeated in 2020.
I am extremely grateful to the @NYCParks staff and NY Parks commissioner/fellow runner @mitchell_silver for keeping this essential resource powered and continuously expanding throughout the boroughs.
People ran the race this year in their own boroughs and neighborhoods. It was incredible work and proof that the spirit of this amazing race is still very much alive.
Quick story: Earlier this fall, my father @Finman1017 (actual Coach Finley) while out mountain biking in the middle of the woods very intentionally aimed for and subsequently crashed off an elevated dirt bike jump, something he and his friends did frequently in their mid-60s...
But through it all, he fought to communicate and coach his high school team and this week his men’s team won their first district meet by one point. One point is one place, one lean or a fraction of a second in cross country.

Coaching will look and sound different for the foreseeable future but the surge of fulfillment and seemingly accompanying hand motions remain the same.
Beyond grateful to welcome so many friends back to practice yesterday as we resumed our first @BKLYNTrackClub sessions since March.
Starting back is important but how we start back is more important - more sessions, smaller groups, masks - keep it up squad!
Your body is smart. If your body has been mostly still, then it's adjusted to the demands of a more sedentary life––your metabolism a little slower, your posture slightly shifted, your muscles & tissues more ridged. All this is reversable & many of you will see benefits from rest
