Wendell Carter Jr
Has 3 20+ point games in the first 5 games. He isn't camped out in the corner anymore.
He had 5 20+ games all last yr in 78 games. Is almost about to tie it through 5 games.

That's more like it.
Magic take the NBA Cup opener in Toronto, two nights after getting run off this same floor.
Bane 28. Franz 26 and 11 assists. WCJ 20. AB 17 and 10 dimes. 18 threes and way fewer turnovers.
Who was your player of the game?
Optimism is more fun than melting down all the time. This team needs time. See tonight. A great win, and they looked solid on both sides of the court. Relax Magic fans, the season is young.
Really enjoying the Jase minutes tonight. His defense is much improved since the game he started vs NYC.
Nice to see how this team is playing. A good mix of 3s while scoring in the paint.
They are also doing a much better job of protecting the basketball.
49-43 Magic up with 5:08 left. In the 2nd

As bad as it seems, we actually have NBA star players missing LESS games to start this season @tomhaberstroh
NEW @YahooSports: NBA Star players are missing twice as many games as they did in 2023-24. Wemby, Ja now out tonight on NBC.
It's gotten so bad that nearly half of all NBA stars are injured now:
Hey Magic fans, we have another episode out! We talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly with what’s going on with the Magic.
New episode: Orlando Magic Injury Crisis: Can Franz Keep Them Afloat?
Paolo and Suggs are out and the Magic are 1-3. Will Orlando be .500 or better when Paolo returns?

Wednesday was ugly.
Tonight we flip it, and this time it counts. NBA Cup play starts in Toronto, and the Magic are 10-2 all-time in group play.
Injury Report: Banchero, Suggs, Isaac, Penda and Nelson are OUT.
Who do you want to see step up tonight?

So, I now have one of these Tiger Prizm variants all the cool kids are going on about.

A lot of doom & gloom among #Magic fans with their 1-3 start (second straight year at 1-3). But remember, the Magic started 1-4, had a miserable year, and still won 45 games.
The Celtics lost to the Magic on Nov. 7 last year to fall to 4-6. They finished 56-26. Long way to go.
If you support the Magic, go support our fellow Magic brother @IAintMadAtIt1 who worked on this film and watch it in theaters.
Good update. Still wishing the best to whatever is going on.
Update: The #Magic have upgraded Anthony Black (personal reasons) to AVAILABLE for tonight’s game at Toronto.
My latest for @orlandosports: #Magic forward Jonathan Isaac has been out due to “left knee injury management.”
But what injury is he actually managing? And does he expect to play this season?
Isaac spoke to the @orlandosentinel in Toronto about it: orlandosentinel.com/2026/10/…
Good moves. Go get those guys healthy where they will have more time and resources to get better.
The #Magic are wrapping up shootaround inside Scotiabank Arena ahead of tonight’s game at Toronto.
I’m told Jalen Suggs (right knee bone bruise) and Paolo Banchero (right low-grade high ankle sprain) traveled back to Orlando after New York to focus on treatment.
Not ideal but I hope everything is okay for AB
#Magic guard Anthony Black is not at shootaround in Toronto due to personal reasons. He’s listed as Questionable for tonight’s game against the Raptors, but is expected to be back with the team for the game, I’m told.

Paul George sticks Wedgie No. 3 on the season in Boston tonight. It's PG's sixth career wedgie, which moves him into second place all-time. (Westbrook: 7, LeBron and PG: 6) #WeAreWedgie
