Still a little teary-eyed from this praise. Maybe setting expectations too high?!?!

ugh, someone made a funny COVID comedy. like, actually funny, not just "lol Tom Hanks" funny sold as Booksmart meets Locke (sure!), RECOVERY is a morbid but slaphappy road trip saga about sisters racing to save grandma from an infected nursing home #sxsw indiewire.com/2021/03/recove…

Retweeting a tweet quoting myself feels ridiculous, but #SXSW has been such a JOYFUL experience 🤩 #recoveryfilm

“Making a comedy...helped us muddle through 2020 in a way that was equal parts catharsis and exhilarating experiment. It was very much a love letter to everyone going through what might be the wildest disruption on record.” - Director @StephenMeekness (Recovery) #SXSWFilm

#RecoveryFilm subverts every expectation you might have for a “COVID comedy,” whisking audiences away on an absurd but immensely amusing cross-country adventure. #SXSW #SXSWFilm #SXSW2021 @sorofilms @StephenMeekness @malruthon @Whitney_Call loudandclearreviews.com/reco…

Jesus was often tender with people who sinned and and tough on sinful systems. We tend to be tough on people who sin while tolerating sinful systems.

In 5th grade, my son asked me “Mama, is there something wrong with me?” My heart broke, but I kept calm to say no and ask why. White woman teacher in his favorite class (math) wouldn’t stop calling his name. Always on him. He’d be doing same as others but she’d call him out. 1/11

MOANA x 127 HOURS Per tradition, Yara is sentenced to starve to death locked inside an island hut. Her sacrifice is the island’s salvation. As her hunger grows, a storm protects the island from deadly sea monsters. 1/3 #PitMad #YA #F #RainbringerNovel

Since ”looting” is the topic let’s refer to James Baldwin on this one. Gonna do it every time

For me the road to heaven goes through people (and my efforts to serve and learn from them). Not around people. It’s a group efforts to help each other. ‘Working out my salvation’ is not an exclusively an individual effort. Let’s reach out and bring others with us 🙏🏻
