At 84, Pastor Doug Boucher left his Tennessee farm to return to First Baptist Church Eastpoint, and in just four months the church has seen 23 professions of faith and attendance more than double. "Hope is coming back to this church." Read the full story: ow.ly/RlPu50ZV7qp
Thankful to God for my friend, @WillyRice !
FAITH IN ACTION: Southern Baptist Convention president fires back at calls for pastors to stay out of politics, urging Christian leaders to 'step up' ahead of midterm elections.
Willy Rice argues that abortion, marriage, gender identity and immigration are deeply theological issues that demand a pastoral voice in the public square.
Rice says the political and theological left never withdrew from politics — and that their silence created a vacuum conservative Christians are now paying for.

Had a great time preaching tonight for my friend @PreacherCC at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Easley, SC. God moved! People trusted Jesus for salvation and made commitments to be baptized. That’s what it’s all about.
Praying today for @FloridaBaptists pastors and churches across the Sunshine State! May Jesus shine His light through us!

Asking for God to multiply our churches as never before as we aggressively share the good news of Jesus! Praying for 7 consecutive years of 7% annual growth in SBC baptisms. 👇🏼
At the 1973 Annual Meeting in Portland, Ore., Owen Cooper, then-president of the Southern Baptist Convention, stood before the messengers and celebrated the previous year’s record-setting total of 445,725 baptisms.

Michele and I had a great time at the @FloridaBaptists Pastors and Wives Retreat! Today, we’re back home, enjoying a good cup of coffee (me), a nice cup of tea (Michele), and best 2 out of 3 in Uno Flip! (We’ll see who wins today)
Michele and I loved this event! Praise the Lord for our @FloridaBaptists family!!
Over 300 gathered in Orlando for a Pastors and Wives Retreat provided by the FL Baptist Convention.
Dr. @StephenRummage and Michele facilitated the retreat saying “I always say that our mission together flows out of our fellowship. We want you to take time to enjoy one another, to enjoy your spouse, and to enjoy your friends who are here. We're going to be talking about strength for today and hope for tomorrow. That's our theme along the way, how God gives us strength for today and hope for tomorrow.”
This is what it’s all about! 👇🏼
Thank you Pastor @tedtraylor for your charge to Southern Baptists’ 46 newest @IMB_SBC missionaries and thank you for leading @olivebaptist to be among their most generous supporters in @SBCCP giving in your 36 years there!
Pastors and church leaders, I hope you’ll take time to read this article. 👇🏼Nationwide, I see God giving Southern Baptists an even deeper burden for lostness and love for those who need Jesus, as well as a compelling vision for reaching more people with the gospel.
With five consecutive years of growth, Florida Baptists and SBC leaders are aiming high for the future of evangelism. Read how a 7-year challenge could lead to 450,000 baptisms by 2033 in 7% growth for 7 years sets the pace for record-setting Southern Baptist baptism numbers by 2033. ow.ly/chB350ZOqhb

Make plans now to join fellow Florida Baptists for a time of encouragement, fellowship, and strengthening in the Word of God! Mark your calendars for the 2026 Florida Baptist State Convention Pastors’ Conference and Annual Meeting, taking place November 9–10 in Orlando. flbaptist.org/state-conventi…
Over the last several months, I have met with pastors across Florida to talk and pray about sharing the gospel, reaching the lost, and seeing more and more people baptized.
Florida is a blessed and favored state, no doubt. But I also know that throughout the country, in every state, thousands of Southern Baptist churches and pastors have the same burden for reaching more lost people with the good news of Jesus and baptizing those who follow Him.
