Replying to @Inevitablewest
I’m British. And I can assure you the biggest threat to small towns here isn’t migrants — it’s billionaires on ketamine hallucinating about hobbits and imaginary crime waves.

The rich and the powerful are the reason you’re poor, not migrants. Capitalism keeps you exactly where you are. Blaming migrants isn’t fighting back. It’s giving the establishment exactly what they want. Divided we’re weak, but together we can create real change.

The first thing Keir Starmer must do when he gets into office is give the woman on the left a damehood and a complimentary castle.

Amidst all the discussion of #CivilWarMovie there is not enough attention given to what an immensely gifted visual artist Alex Garland is.

Civil War film-maker Alex Garland: ‘In the US and UK there’s a lot to be very concerned about’

Alex Garland has an enviable list of hits to his name, from 28 Days Later to Ex Machina. So why has making a thriller about a divided US pushed him to quit the director’s chair?

Polls show that, somehow, most voters don’t know or have forgotten most of this, so here it is all in one place, as presented by @sethmeyers in tonight’s Closer Look: An overview of Donald Trump, the GOP nominee for president. (And this is only a small fraction.)

Meet your new Migration Minister Tom Pursglove. Climate change sceptic, arch Brexiteer and looks like he was born with a full set of teeth which he used to eat his way out of his mother.

I could wish that #TomPetty was not trending simply because he has a song in the trailer for the new #GTA6 but I'll take good news where I can get it these days. Here is one of his many better-than-Runnin'-Down-A-Dream songs youtube.com/watch?v=B-Wa-HG3…

Does a film that is enjoyable for 1hr 40 and falls apart in the last 15 deserve a very bad review? Asking for a #catperson friend. @MatthewLeggatt ? @DanMattingly87 ?

Anyone fancy a vote on a neglected @JasonIsbell song he and the #400unit should dust off and play? My vote would be The Day John Henry Died. Barnburner.

Good to see another serial offender behind bars. But why did the headteachers at these schools fail to stop him? Tillson abused children at three different ones, according to survivors I've heard from - passed from one elite establishment to another. kentonline.co.uk/tonbridge/n…
