Overall voter turnout in the midterms was high, but it wasn’t the same in all places and among all groups. A closer look reveals notable increases and decreases from past elections.

Actually HR 1 in the 116th Congress was an anticorruption bill, and a voting bill, and an ethics bills called the For the People Act all rolled into one. And all of that has a lot to do with the economy and the cost of corruption.
Each Congress, H.R. 1-10 are reserved for the majority’s top bills and H.R. 11-20 are reserved for the minority.
Notable: Almost all of the top Dem bills in recent Congresses have been on social issues, not economic. Likely to change next Congress. wakeuptopolitics.com/p/what-…

Last night's historic rebuke of the party in power registers as a 10.0 on the Richter scale.

Whether it’s fighting corruption or reforming our democracy, the to-do list coming out of yesterday’s returns must include term limits for the Supreme Court.
We propose 18-year term limits for the nation’s highest court. To learn more about how it would work, please see our proposal. brennancenter.org/our-work/p…
Read FEC Chair @ShanaMBroussard's piece in @Slate about the eye-popping amount that a single donor can contribute to a political party to benefit just one single federal candidate: $3,126,400.
