🧵 - idk who needs to hear this but right before covid i started to feel a general disenchantment with music, the industry, and the direction things were going with tiktok and the emphasis everyone around me was putting on the content machine and the chase for virality
wtf i just bounced 3 extended mixes from @Ableton and 2 of them had stutters that threw the beat off grid. 10 years of ableton and never had that happen before. wild
my friend is illegally streaming the Lions/49ers and is 15 seconds ahead of my $80/month youtube TV stream. nice!

i hope that this encourages someone to keep an open mind, try something new, and break out of their comfort zone. that was my only resolution for 2023 (yeah, anyone thinking about their resolution still?) but it was the best goal I’ve set for myself in years and i’m so glad i did
