Déjà vu
Iain is spot on here.
It was the bet I had with Jeffrey Archer before he passed away.
He said no. I said yes.
There's nothing big in the locker for Burnham to do.
If your not going forward in politics, you're going backwards.
And why did he go so big on the toxic subject of brexit?
It unites the centre and centre-left like nothing else.
One more thing, Iain. If he comes back from Brussels on Nov 20th with his youth mobility and SPS deal plus joining the Made in Europe scheme, he bags the kids and business also. That puts Kemi is a very tricky and unconservative electoral position.
Risky as hell.
But with a clever budget behind him, he'll back himself to sell the future - unlike Teresa in 2017 who couldn't sell nada.
I'm with you.

Grim and sad to see.
She's leaving the day after the Budget, so I'd expect a painful one for entrepreneurs. Higher capital gains, an exit tax…
I'm amazed how little our political class seem to understand where growth has come from over the last 20+ years, and where it'll come from next… technology companies.
It's almost like they're happy with managed decline as long as they can stay in power.
Thank you for your service @adepledge, but maybe now's the time to get out of the UK while you can.

In 2016, Britain's car manufacturing rivalled Germany's. Now, it's nowhere near.
This is worth a read & the kind of urban environment it promotes exists, to this day, in the Berlage Plan development in Amsterdam-Zuid.
As well as children’s parks every few hundred metres, and cycle paths everywhere, the Berlage Plan also included a number of Montessori schools because the Netherlands introduced Freedom of Pedagogy into its Constitution in 1917 at the same time as H.P. Berlage’s plan for Amsterdam-Zuid was being approved by the municipal authority.
Amsterdam’s Berlage Plan coupled with NL’s Freedom of Pedagogy are proof of concept for Ryan Puzycki’s proposition.
