Last week, I dropped 300 words on LI on what good coaching actually looks like 58 likes/88 decent comments later... I knew I hit a nerve So I went and built a 4000-word guide on what to look out for in a great coach I know you'll find it helpful! ST docs.google.com/document/d/1…

The illusion of accomplishment through effort really does derail a lot of founders. Making them work crazy hours… because more effort = more results… right?

You’re not burnt out from working too hard. You’re burnt out from working against yourself. No alignment. No joy. Just survival-mode execution. The problem isn’t your workload. It’s the weight of who you think you have to be. Let that sh*t go.

You’ve got to remember that time is a narrative you tell yourself. If you’re constantly telling yourself you don’t have time, your actions will reflect that, from how you manage your calendar to how you show up throughout the day. But if your inner narrative is, ‘I am calm, I am relaxed, I have plenty of time,’ you’ll approach everything in your life with much more effectiveness

I have a personal saying: ‘A full calendar is a fool’s calendar.’ You can tell who takes their standards and deep work seriously by how much white space is in their calendar. No one is getting important work done in meetings, and most of the time, meetings should be half as long or just a simple email. I always advise clients who start working with me, especially when their calendar is completely packed, to start ruthlessly evaluating whether all the meetings they’re attending are necessary and whether they’re actually producing results. That simple exercise often helps reclaim hours each week, if not daily. ST

If you ever find yourself thinking... "I don’t know what to do!" Pause for a moment and flip that. Ask yourself... "What if I did know what to do?" A slight shift in perspective creates a whole different type of energy allowing new ideas and perspectives to flood into focus.

Removing the dull hum of mental bullying For years, I battled a dull hum in my head.... Call it my inner drill sergeant or inner critic, but it was always there... that nagging voice, like a daily headache, telling me something wasn’t right. I tried fixing it externally. I stopped partying—the hum didn’t go. I improved my sleep—still there. I changed jobs, worked out more, grew my income... Yet the hum remained. I spent almost a decade focusing on fixing my external world, thinking action would quiet my inner dialogue. But no matter how much I improved the outside, I was still mentally picking myself apart. It wasn’t until I started doing inner work... Getting clear on... > My future self > My identity > My mental and emotional conversations That things truly shifted. I stopped fighting that negative voice and started understanding it. That’s when I realized... The best version of me was already inside. It was just waiting for me to focus on the right narrative… and work daily to be in alignment. This is the work I now do with my clients. Helping dialled in high performers who are still mentally bullying themselves for no reason. It's about getting into that narrative and switching it to one that's a lot more supportive... and a lot more aligned with who we know we can be. When you start aligning your thoughts, the hum finally stops. And that’s where real change happens. Big love, ST Fan of removing the hum

One of the simplest and most effective exercises for self-improvement is to... Sit down and imagine a more evolved, effective version of yourself. Then, write out what it would take to make that happen. It can be as simple as focusing on one action you can take today.

How do you bridge the gap between who you are today and who you know you’re meant to be? First... get really clear on who you think you’re meant to be. Then... get clear on what’s currently holding you back from becoming that version of yourself.

Something that still surprises me is how many smart founders hold on to work they know they should be delegating or dropping. Often, this work doesn’t just hinder their biz results but also impacts their mental and emotional health.

Working harder when you’re already working hard has to be one of the biggest mistakes most of us make at some point in our entrepreneurial or high-performance lives. It’s easy to think that doing more leads to more, but often, more just creates less... along with more stress.

Quite often, in life and business, it’s the small things you say yes to that pull us away from our big goals. You complain about not having time to focus on your big projects, health, or relationships, yet you've said yes to so many small, incidental things throughout your week. These small agreements consume so much of your time, and without realizing it, they take you away from the things you truly want to focus on.

I’ve always loved the quote, ‘Take care of the relationships and everything else will take care of itself.’ It’s so true. In this social media and Chatgpt-driven world, we’ve lost genuine connection, the art of conversation, and the ability to go deep with those in our ecosystem. But that’s how you build meaningful relationships and stronger businesses.

Are you forcing discipline or are you in love with the process of discipline? Huge difference. One is driven by interest and alignment... the other is driven by fear and external noise.

When you understand the spiritual alignment of your identity with your higher self... you don’t need more productivity hacks or new systems. You want more alignment... a deep, emotional, and spiritual shift to embody the version of yourself who already has the success you seek.

Your mind is a laser beam... Whatever you focus on... mentally, emotionally, physically... expands. So what are you focusing on right now? The habits that drain you? The people who don’t support you? Or the activities that suck the life out of you? Might be time to refocus.

I often speak with founders who express wanting to be happier or more positive... It’s a great goal... but I remind them that there’s nothing wrong with feeling sad or experiencing negativity... life happens, and we’re meant to feel all of it. Instead of chasing constant positivity, we should aim for a more stable baseline of peace, alignment, and intention. With that foundation... we can experience both the highs and lows of life while maintaining that inner peace and alignment. ST

Once you return to being, You’ll realize you were always there. But to live in that truth... You first have to fight through everything that pulled you out of alignment.

I've made a lot of mistakes. I'm still figuring things out. But one thing I have learned is... yelling at yourself. Beating yourself up. Putting yourself down. To force yourself to get sh*t done... is not a healthy way to make progress. You should want to do the hard work.
