The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors allocated $6.8 million in federal CARES funds to ensure schools have strong internet connections by purchasing 29,790 hotspots for 32 school districts. The hotspots use cellular technology to connect to the internet Maricopa.gov/TakeCare

Maricopa County established a unified command structure where different agencies can collaborate in a single location. Today I had the opportunity to visit and was impressed and encouraged to see the agencies working together with a unified action plan as we combat COVID-19.

I had the distinct honor and privilege of speaking to the Biltmore Area Partnership members about current events and our accomplishments as the fastest growing county in the nation.

I had the opportunity to bring key community leaders together to hear Dr. Crow’s vision for designing a stronger economic future for AZ. As the 4th largest & fastest growing county in the nation, we continue to strive for a resilient economic pathway that will continue to grow.

I enjoyed hearing Mesa Mayor John Giles’ State of the City address-focused on economic development and job growth. I look forward to continuing to work with Mesa toward our shared goals in 2020. #SOCT2020
