The best thing I ever did for a student-athlete wasn't find them a school. It was find them the right coach. There's a difference between a program that accepts your athlete and a program where your athlete thrives. The roster spot matters but the coaching relationship is what actually shapes what happens next. A coach who understands your child's game, pushes them in the right direction academically, and has the college connections to pick up the phone and vouch for them personally- that is the difference between a good placement and a life-changing one. That's what I look for when I'm working on your athlete's behalf. Not just a spot in a program. The right program. 📲 Ready to find the right coach? 🎓 Athlete: Jack Stefani (’27) 📍 Hometown: Glenview, IL 🏫 Destination: The Canterbury School (CT) 🎓 Division 1 Baseball at UMBC (MD) "Working with Steve and The Prep Connection to find a baseball-focused post-graduate program for our son was an absolute game-changer. From day one, Steve demonstrated an incredible level of knowledge, attention to detail and thoroughness. He truly took the time to get to know our family and our son, listening carefully to what our son was looking for in a competitive baseball program and tailoring the search specifically to his athletic and academic goals. Steve conducted an exhaustive search of 20+ schools, expertly helping us navigate the process to narrow them down to a final four, and ultimately guiding us to our final decision. What really set Steve apart, though, was his incredible accessibility and friendly demeanor. He was always willing to talk and made us feel like we were his top priority every step of the way. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated, and genuinely wonderful consultant to help guide your family through the prep school or post-grad baseball recruiting process, we cannot recommend Steve Marcus and The Prep Connection highly enough!” - The Stefani Family We couldn't be prouder of Jack on his commitment to play Division I baseball at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County! ⚾️ Stories like Jack's are why we do what we do. Work with someone who has actually been in the rooms you're trying to get into. Here is the reality of the prep school landscape. Coaches don’t just recruit players. They trust connections. I’m Steve Marcus, founder of The Prep Connection. My entire career has been built on the court - from working in Division I basketball to coaching at the NBA and international professional level. Over the years, I've built direct, personal relationships with hundreds of accredited prep school programs and coaches. When you work with us, there is no jargon and no guesswork. We handle the direct lines to coaches and admissions directors so your family gets clarity, not chaos. This is what "concierge" means in the prep school space. I handle the networking and the strategy, so you can focus on supporting your athlete. July is prime recruitment time and slots are filling fast for the upcoming recruitment cycle. #ThePrepConnection #PrepSchoolBasketball #BasketballRecruitment #StudentAthlete #PrepSchoolConsulting #HighSchoolBasketball #BasketballParents

The prep school landscape is complex. Most families don't know where to start and by the time they figure it out, opportunities have already passed. That's where I come in. My name is Steve and I started The Prep Connection to give student-athletes and their families direct access to the prep school programs that are actively looking for talent. Not just the top 10% of schools that recruit themselves, the other 90% where your student-athlete has a real shot to play, grow, and get noticed. We handle the film. We handle the transcripts. We build the relationships so you don't have to navigate this alone. Welcome to The Prep Connection. #ThePrepConnection #StudentAthletes #PrepSchools #StudentAthleteParents #PrepSchoolRecruiting
