I’m about to show you exactly why mainstream media has a credibility problem. News organizations are reporting that the family of Chief Two Guns White Calf wants the Redskins name and logo restored. But here’s what they failed to investigate: a 2024 lawsuit Kenneth Conway filed against the NFL. This lawsuit that mainstream media refused to ask Conway about, raises serious issues about the motives behind this sudden publicity campaign and whether the real objective is restoring a legacy or extracting money from the NFL. And at the center of this controversy is attorney Denise Rosado, an admittedly fired former FCC employee who is now running for D.C. delegate to Congress. Mainstream media overlooks important stories while publishing sensational headlines without doing the most basic due diligence. Then they wonder why the public no longer trusts them and their industry continues to struggle. Here’s an idea: Maybe newsrooms should start operating more like law firms, where evidence matters, claims must be substantiated, and getting the facts wrong has consequences. Because right now, some of these newsrooms have the investigative standards of a high school gossip column and the audacity to call it journalism.

A CON'S WAY: THE REDSKINS CONTROVERSY - Kenneth Conway and Gopher Morningstar claim to represent the estate of Chief Two Guns White Calf and are publicly campaigning to restore the Redskins name and logo. Yet their claims of descendancy remain disputed, and they have refused to undergo DNA testing to substantiate their claimed family connection to that of Delphine White Calf. But here's where things get interesting... In an April 2025 filing in Blackfeet Tribal Court, Case No. 2024CA-139, Conway demanded 15% royalties from the Washington Commanders and NFL, retroactive compensation, a partnership in the RFK Stadium redevelopment, and court-ordered changes to the team's name and logo. The filing even characterized the Redskins name as disparaging to the chief. Now they're campaigning to restore that very name. And there's more!! Their attorney, Denise Rosado, previously represented me and the White Calf family in a REDSKINS trademark application involving conflicting interests. Rosado has since been reported to the Arizona State Bar over that conflict. Her employment with the FCC also ended in 2025 after she was fired. So which is it? Is this about honoring Chief Two Guns White Calf, or securing royalties and financial interests in the Commanders franchise? Read the court filing yourself: green-silence-579.linkyhost.… This is yet another reminder of why the media deserves scrutiny. Scripps failed to do its homework, presenting Conway’s claims without adequately verifying his descendancy or examining the court filings. wtvr.com/sports/descendants-…

Dak Prescott apparently did indeed get a (black) Cowboys employee fired over this minor incident. And the guy handled it like a champ, making a very solid point about Prescott…
A stadium employee said “embarrassing” to Dak Prescott after the Cowboys loss. DAK STARED HIM DOWN. Yeah he definitely getting bro fired 😭💀
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The person was a third-party car service driver/contractor, not a Cowboys employee. No credible reports confirm a firing occurred; the claim originates from an unverified TikTok video. the-sun.com/sport/17120533… usatoday.com/story/sports/n… sportingnews.com/us/nfl/dallas-…

Please sign 🙏 Even if they aren’t your team it is the principle that the Native American people should not have been cancelled. 90%+ knew the name and logo not only were created by one of their own but that the fans revered them and have immense pride in their heritage ❤️ HTTR

Great article by Kerry J. Byrne. Smithsonian Institution senior linguist Ives Goddard researched the origins of the REDSKINS name and concluded, in summary, that “the actual origin of the word is entirely benign.” Goddard found that “redskin” did not originate in English or another European language. Rather, the English term derived from Native American expressions combining the color red with words for flesh, skin, and man. Those who pushed the narrative that the name was inherently racist failed to do the historical research, and much of the media repeated that narrative without adequately examining the history. The result? An important Native American figurehead and his legacy were canceled in the process. The history deserves a second look. @Commanders theblaze.com/news/wake-up-ca…

👀 @NFL @Commanders You were wrong about the Redskins name and logo. It's now time to do the right thing and restored the Redskins name and logo. Get them decals made and get that name stitched under the collar again

I must address the comment from the Association on American Indian Affairs. REDSKINS and the logo was not the commercialization of Native Americans. It was the honoring of one man, Chief Two Guns White Calf. Yet did anyone at NBC Sports reach out to his descendants, whose trademark applications are now pending before the USPTO? No. The statement, “We are not your mascot,” is disingenuous and ignores the history of this particular image. The logo depicted a man who traveled to Washington, D.C., to advocate for his people following the 1870 massacre of approximately 200 Blackfeet women, children, and elders by a U.S. military command #TheCommanders®. Will news organizations finally speak with the family, or continue relying on activist organizations that do not represent the descendants or their understanding of the brand? If you truly want to get this history right, talk to the descendants. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…
