Are police Scotland preparing for civil unrest? My source works for a company that makes props and fake items for stage production. Police Scotland have recently made a 40 thousand pound order for fake bricks, beer bottles, hammers, axes and sticks. These are items that look and feel like the real thing but are made out of foam, rubber or 3D printed glass bottles to be used for training sessions throughout Scotland. Whilst the true reason is unknown my source says these are most likely to be used to prepare the police for civil unrest where there could be disorder on the street and the police can train for this using weapons that look like the real thing but will do no damage.
