Welcome Home? We recently surveyed LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers and refugees in NI about their experience in Home Office accommodation. The results are depressing. @ukhomeoffice @mearsgroup and @migranthelp what are you doing to prevent this harm to our members? #BelfastPride

I’ve made a lot of videos for Queen’s Uni’s Charter series etc, but this is the one I’m proudest of - honoured to talk to my colleagues for this.
In episode 4 of the #RECNetwork series, we hear from two frontline workers, a cleaner and a security officer (who wished to remain anonymous), about their experiences in Queen's.

This is the hottest we have ever observed.
The Mediterranean is now completely outside all previous records. We have never measured this level of heat across the basin at any time of year.
It is only July. We usually see the annual maximum in August.

Not to be alarmist but…this is what’s called a six-sigma event, now unfolding in Antarctica.
Otherwise known as a once-in-7.5-million-year event.
Hang onto your hats.

Mexico has been suffering through one of its worst heatwaves in its history for the last 7+ days and it shows no sign of letting up over the next week as a relentless heat dome stays parked overhead.
Northern Mexico could soar as high as 50°C (122°F) over the next few days.
