Fab-looking opportunity for “emerging or established writers from diverse backgrounds to each write a high-quality fiction book based on the GPI’s archives of Black British history.”
Open Call for Writers: the GPI is seeking 2 authors of fiction to write books inspired by our archive for Key Stage Three readers (11–13). Find out more and how to apply on our website. georgepadmoreinstitute.org/n…

#ReflectingRealities ... we're changing publishing from the ground up & believe that publishing companies owned by a diverse set of people are a vital part of the change needed in UK publishing. (And any of these would make great additions to schools - or Xmas presents!)

I'll be on @BBCLeeds Radio tomorrow Thurs 4th May morning at 8am.
I'm talking about how AI in its current form scrapes stolen artwork, infringes copyright, and how this affects artists, the creative sector & the wider implications on humanity & job losses.

My agency transferred some money to my bank account last week but I have only just got the statement! I’ve got ROYALTIES for Danny Chung Does Not Do Maths!!! This is wildly exciting as I’ve never earned royalties before! Thank you so much for buying it!!!

Why did you use AI to create these images @BradfordLitFest instead of hiring an illustrator? 😭
There's currently no ethical way to engage in AI as it scrapes millions of images without people's consent, which is hours of unpaid labour. It's infringement & it sends a bad message
📢 Our star-studded #BradfordLitFest line-up is live! A mix of award-winning authors, renowned poets, inspiring activists, talented acts, insightful politicians & visionary sheikhs. This festival promises something for everyone!
