Sad to hear of the passing of Jimmy Rimmer. It was an end of season trip to Son Vida Hotel in Majorca. I had left my beer for only a short while and when I returned as I went to take a sip I noticed something in the bottom of the glass….Jimmy’s false teeth.

Since when did @AVFCOfficial adopt dynamic pricing ? Leeds United classed as Grade A match 'because tickets are selling well’. How do you explain that then ?

It’s no wonder I am losing interest in football with this joke of a World Cup draw preceded over by a FIFA President whose pay package in 2023 was $4.67 million and who resides for much of the year in Qatar. Big commute to his office in Zurich.

We were playing Man City at Villa Park. A televised match. Oasis were playing at Maine Road. 'Would you fax the team sheets early so we can distribute to our hospitality suites where they are watching the match ?' 'Yes, if you get one signed for me'.

Man City fined £1m (last season £2m) for delaying the kick off of the second half in PL matches. What utter arrogance and lack of respect.

Surprised as part of the 150 years celebration that there wasn’t more recognition by the Club of winning the League Cup and gaining promotion in 1975.

Huyton Boys Club English Schools Winners. Not easy this one but who can spot a future Everton legend and a Villa player who played for the club in a League Cup semi final.

FA Cup semi finals shouldn’t be at Wembley, to me it dampens the thrill of reaching the Final. While at Villa we had 29 semi finals or replays, some unforgettable matches. A crate of champagne in the winners dressing room and tears in the other.

1st Division Champions, European Cup Winners, UEFA Super Cup, 3 x League Cup Winners, hosting 29 FA Cup semi finals and generally keeping your head down and getting on with it with loyal service for 35 years still didn’t get me an invite to the 150 match last night. Gutted.
