Season 1 World Champion. Forever a legend. We are devastated to hear about Lauri “Cyanide” Happonen’s passing. Cyanide won Season 1 Worlds with Fnatic and remains the youngest player to ever lift the Summoner's Cup. Thank you for everything, Lauri.

A Bandai rep was at several London locals yesterday collecting feedback on the game and has indicated that they are aware of the outrage around the finals. Please keep the pressure on and keep posting about it, we can't this get brushed under the rug. #GCG

Thank you to @Anya_Tekken for sharing this, it is greatly appreciated! We take this matter very seriously! It is extremely disrespectful to all the competitors who participate in tournaments and TOs who run TWT dojos properly by the book! We request @BNEesports to issue a full competive ban from TWT to Lemus Alexander, Divine Exocrist and take proper action against the parties involved. We want to continue to support @TEKKEN & TWT but if these things keep happening with no consequences it effects everyone in the competitive scene and we cannot support it if no action is taken! Going forward we will no longer allow @LemusAlexanderF & @DivineExorcist4 to participate in all of Kanme's brackets indefinitely!
I really, REALLY didn't want it to come to this, but here we are. I want to address concerns about possible fake participants being added to Mexican dojos to help @DivineExorcist4 qualify for the Tekken World Tour. First, @deerarmyesports is not involved in any of this. We have always marked every DQ, reported attendance accurately, and done everything by the book, even when that meant losing a higher points tier in every single one of our Dojos. We reported similar concerns about dojos in Panama last year, but no action was taken. I understand the frustration this has caused, but it does not justify doing the same here. We have already reported our concerns involving Divine to Bandai Namco officials as well. The events I am referring to are Fist of Lion 2 and Boneless Dojo. Fist of Lion 2 had several unconfirmed accounts that raised concerns about whether those entrants were real participants. The event also was not shared with a large portion of our community, which made me question whether participation was being deliberately limited to help Divine secure the points. For Boneless Dojo, I noticed suspicious participant entries being added while monitoring registration. The participant list was then made private. This raised concerns that the event might be aiming for the 64+ tier without enough actual attendees. For context, even at SFactor, the biggest event in our country, we fell short of that tier after I correctly marked every DQ. When 64+ points were awarded by mistake, I immediately reported the error. That is the standard I have always held myself and our events to. Separately, a TO from northern Mexico contacted me to report that @LemusAlexanderF, Divine’s brother, had approached him about hosting dojos with fake participants. According to this TO, the requests included whether they could “not DQ people that don't show up” and whether they had photos of a full venue that could be submitted as attendance evidence. The TO told me he refused. I'm hoping Namco could accept the conversation as evidence but I remember something similar happened with @SergieMazter and Namco officials did not take action. I am sharing these concerns because they affect players who spend their own money and time competing honestly, and it affects the community reputation as a whole. As someone who has spent years organizing a large portion of Mexico’s tournaments, it hurts to have to speak about this within our own community. I care about our players and want to see them qualify, but it has to be earned FAIRLY.

Japan gets Amuro for participation, top 8 qualifying for worlds and B03 Sideboard for the whole tournament. The west gets treated like second class citizens. Make our finals B03 sideboard for the whole event, and if it's still possible to do so also give us participation Amuro. Fix this Bandai before players walk away. The social media backlash tells you all you need to know about this. #GCG @official_BCG_EN @official_BCG_JP @GUNDAM_GCG_ENG @GUNDAM_GCG_JP
I am extremely disappointed with Bandai and we as a community should not be happy with this announcement. Yes it's brilliant that NA are getting top cut but B03 sideboard as a top cut only format does absolutely nothing to improve the gameplay experience for the majority of players in the room. The game is not made better by this half-measure. I could have accepted this for regionals while the format was trialed but this now marks the second year in the row where the Japanese players are treated with a level of respect not afforded to us Western players. Not only will the Japanese players have a finals entirely in the B03 sideboard format, but they will also have it in the format much closer to the one that worlds will be played in. That's not even discussing the prizing structure which is just an absolute joke. I was ready to fly out to the US to try and participate in their finals, I'm not very unsure about whether that's worth my time. Do Bandai actually care about the western playerbase? It doesn't feel like it. I'm genuinely questioning whether I will continue to play gundam into 2027.
