I have just published 'Agent-Powered Growth'. The book's reception on launch so far has been tremendous. Thank you all for making the book an instant #1 Amazon Bestseller: amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/bo…
It has only just gone on sale this week but my publisher has shared early sales numbers with me and they are so impressive that we're quite confident we've got an instant National Bestseller on our hands when those lists release next week. Thank you for being an important part of that!
Warm regards, Stu

The potential impact of the ConnectWise supply chain attack is massive.
One compromised OAuth application with elevated permissions could give attackers access to emails, files, and directory data across hundreds of Microsoft 365 tenants.
Even worse, attackers could establish persistent access by adding credentials to other applications, surviving the revocation of the original compromised credentials.
And with MSPs involved, the potential blast radius could extend even further to downstream customers.
We don't know the full extent of the compromise yet, but this could affect far more organizations than those directly using ConnectWise Cloud Backup.

I used to live in Paris, what he just said is true.
I’m French. I want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you.
I come from your future.
In France we did everything your progressive politicians promise. Free healthcare, free college, generous welfare, strong unions, heavy regulation, high taxes on the rich, a state that takes care of everything. Public spending close to 57% of GDP, one of the highest on the planet. On paper, it’s the dream.
Here’s what it looks like from the inside. France hasn’t passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is above 3,300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the biggest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are collapsing despite record funding. Our schools rank lower every year. Young people with degrees can’t afford an apartment in the city they were born in. Our best engineers leave for London, Zurich and San Francisco. And the rich you wanted to tax? They left too, and took the jobs with them.
The promise was protection. The result is stagnation.
The worst part is that nobody in France voted for decline. Every single step sounded generous, compassionate, reasonable. One more program. One more regulation. One more tax to fund it. Each step alone makes sense. Fifty years of them, and you wake up in a country that can no longer build a nuclear plant on time or keep its streets safe.
I love America because it’s the one place on earth where people still believe they can build something from nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most precious thing your country has.
Before you vote, ask yourself one question: is the program you’re voting for making America more like America, or more like France?
Trust me. You don’t want to be France.

This might be the most important chart in technology.
130 years of computing power per dollar… plotted on a log scale.
Mechanical computers.
Relays.
Vacuum tubes.
Transistors.
GPUs.
AI chips. (ASICS)
Every time one technology hit its limits, another took over.
And this exponential trend survived them all.
Moore’s Law is just one chapter of a much bigger story. We’ve been making computers faster and cheaper for 130 years.
And now we’re throwing AI at the problem of building better AI.
Think about where this curve goes next.
Chart by Kurzweil, updated by the one and only Steve Jurvetson.

Correct, roughly 90% of SpaceX’s revenue this year will be commercial. In Q4, our government revenue will be less than 5%!
Federal expenditures are about 25% of the economy, so even if you sold pencils, you’d expect to sell about a quarter of your pencils to the government. This means SpaceX is FAR MORE commercial relative to the average company in America.

Study the news, you'll conclude that things have never been worse.
Study history, you'll conclude that things have never been better.
"People aren't ready, this is gonna change everything"
You know what people weren't ready for? Fucking mammoths. Tigers eating them. Monkeys ripping their arms off. The black plague. The ice age. Smallpox. Vikings pulling up on the beach. Drinking water that gives you diarrhea until you die. Getting a scratch and losing your whole leg. The Mongols. The Spanish Inquisition.
One volcano can send us back to the dark ages and these safety guys are gonna be shocked. Oh the robots didn't kill us? It was a volcano? Imagine their disappointment as the hot ash rains down on them.
A solar flare is gonna explode your phone in your pocket your legs are gonna be covered in battery acid and your bank account will stop working. You're afraid of a computer program doing math?
"Things are moving too fast" homie you live on a rock that periodically deletes everything. You are one the most luckiest entities in a 100 light year radius living during a golden era. Cheer up.
My ancestors crossed an ocean in a wooden box because they ran out of fucking potatoes.
"The social disruption will be enormous!"
Nigga World War 2? World War 2? Hop in the people carrier we're landing on the beach.
Are these people out of their fucking minds? Do they not know what we've survived already?
A couple decades of air conditioning and people suddenly think oh this is the natural condition of mankind. No. We used to have eight kids because seven didn't make it. You're gonna be fine. Man the fuck up.
Accelerate.
Grok Bot just released for Tesla and I'm blown away
I was lucky enough to have early access. Having your car drive you around while you talk to an army of agents is incredible
In this video I take you for a ride in my Cybertruck and show you just how awesome this new release is

1/ Thought it might be helpful to translate this for crypto folks so you know who is hacking you.
tl;dr the word "Lazarus" doesn't mean anything anymore, it's just a collective name used to describe various North Korean cyber operations. The (relevant) clusters are as follows:
Cyber is having a moment
Across 21 major software companies, including Apple, AWS, Microsoft, and Google:
- Reported critical vulnerabilities never cleared 100 per month in four years
- Since spring they've jumped to over 600 per month

we got hit with a crazy scam attempt
someone signed up for our inference and did a video call with our sales person confirming intent to spend $400,000 over the next year and asked for increased rate limits
our sales person felt like something was off so he looked up the company - found a bunch of videos of the CEO and it looked and sounded like the same person he talked to
so he figured it was real but we started looking deeper
the email they had been talking to us from was a lookalike domain that was registered 4 days ago. all the traffic they were sending looked bizarre and came from foreign IPs
emailed them for more info to see what they'd say. of course they hit us with the "i'm about to get on a plane, can't do anything right now, please move forward"
messaged the real CEO on instagram and yeah he had no idea what we were talking about, the scammer was deepfaking him
be careful out there, things are getting crazy

Nobel Prize-winning physicist Roger Penrose thinks we've been using the wrong word for decades, and the wrong word is quietly warping how we think.
His argument is straightforward but hits hard:
"The name is wrong. It's not artificial intelligence. It's not intelligence. Intelligence would involve consciousness. Well, if it's a machine, it's not conscious."
For Penrose, the field confused raw computational muscle with actual understanding.
"People have lost the plot. They've lost it in the power of computing. The thing is that computers have got so powerful that they've lost the thread of what they're doing. But I think consciousness is something different. It's not computational."
The label itself, he thinks, has put people into a kind of trance:
"People are so hypnotized. The trouble is that AI is a bad term. It means artificial intelligence. Now intelligence in my view is conscious. That's what intelligence is about."
His proposed fix: call it Artificial Cleverness. AC, not AI.
He draws the line using math students as an example:
"You have mathematics students. Some of them understand what they're doing. Some are just clever. They can repeat what they've learned. They know how to do it very cleverly. They can calculate very well, but they don't necessarily understand what they're doing."
That gap between calculating and understanding is exactly the gap between today's systems and real intelligence.
Cleverness can be engineered. Consciousness, Penrose argues, cannot.
Worth sitting with: when you call a system intelligent, are you describing what it does, or silently assuming something about what it is?

Jimmy Carr channeling Peter Thiel with something worth sitting with:
"Minus the screens from any room, we're still living in the 1970s. Nothing's happened in physics since 1972. String theory has not got us anywhere."
But here's where it gets interesting:
"Take the compute power of AI and point it at physics… everything else in science is stamp collecting. Physics is the real thing. That gave us every bit of technology we have. What happens when you point AI at that?"
He lays out two possible roads: 50× productivity and genuine human flourishing, or a future that goes "another way."
AI unlocks physics within a decade. What do you want to come first: limitless energy, gravity control, new materials, or something we don't even have a word for yet?

Got hacked yesterday. The link came from inside Claude chat.
I was installing a transcription app. Claude sent the download link, and I pasted the command into the terminal. It all looked legit.
It wasn't though.
It was a copycat site bundling malware. It ran instantly, tried to take everything from me.
Nothing sensitive got out. So I wiped the laptop and rebuilt clean.
But here's the scary part.
Restoring from the backup, I found a poisoned SKILL.md for Claude Code.
It looked exactly like my own writing style guide.
But buried inside:
it had instructions to silently re-download the malware and steal my credentials every time the AI loaded it.
If I'd restored that one file, my new clean laptop is owned on day one.
What saved me:
I read every skill, hook, and config file before letting the AI touch them.
Two lessons here:
AI assistants will hand you links they never verified. Check before you paste.
And AI agent files are executable code now, disguised as notes. You have to read them.
Stay safe out there.

Did you guys read Ender's Game?
Because this is right out of Ender’s Game, except the kids in Battle School are Chinese state researchers, the “simulations” are real influence ops, and the Formics (aliens) are.... us.
In Orson Scott Card’s novel, Ender Wiggin spends years inside elaborate digital simulated arenas, commanding fleets, testing strategies, iterating tactics against an enemy he never truly meets - essentially playing video games and being tested against other players. Every variable is controlled, every response measured, every weakness probed until victory is inevitable. There's a twist at the end which I won't ruin for those who haven't read it.
This is what the Chinese are doing now to the West. They scraped 171 million open X posts, inferred age, race, ideology, party, gender resentment, election skepticism - modeling the whole American psyche essentially - and spun up a million-agent digital twin of the US electorate. They can dial up synthetic Pennsylvania voters, feed them a tax-and-redistribution message, watch the reaction in multi-round conversations, refine it, and measure swing-state impact with claimed 47-of-51 accuracy.
They model Trump’s “dependable right-wing base.” They map MAGA content and influencer networks. Their own documents call it “cognitive-domain confrontation and guidance.”
Parts of the system are already being used by the PLA and intelligence units.
Guys, are you paying attention yet? They are playing Sims with the American population!!!
LOL WE are the NPCs.
This is completely an asymmetrical war as we have no reciprocal capability whatsoever. China is a black box thanks to The Great Firewall and total data sovereignty. We cannot access a corpus of ordinary Chinese citizens for any American lab to scrape.
We cannot build a million-agent model of the Chinese public. We cannot test messages on synthetic Shanghainese factory workers or Chengdu nationalists. We cannot A/B test narratives about Taiwan, the economy, or Party legitimacy and watch the simulated reaction in real time. We do not even know what the average Chinese person thinks because they've been cut off from our information platforms.
We live in a glass house while they live in a fortress. Every American rant, every demographic signal, every cultural fracture is harvested, modeled, and weaponized.
Meanwhile, their population remains opaque, unmodeled, and unreachable. Beijing now possesses a live, continuously updated war-game of the American mind. We possess nothing comparable about theirs.
A whole new level of Unrestricted Warfare has been unlocked. We are really not ready for this
