Sometimes I still think about the pair on Fun House who missed out on an amazing power prize (a holiday, or a PC or something) for giving "The AA" as one of the emergency services. The power of advertising there, making kids think they really were the fourth emergency service.

It gives a fascinating look at the social history of Perth from 1580; the interesting & sad stories by those who could afford to tell them. A death bathing in the Tay at 14. Of yellow fever in Rio De Janeiro at 17. From high infant mortality to a woman born in 1755 living to 105.

While some of the oldest stones like the Buchan 1580 one are preserved under shelter, a number of the stones are showing the effects of 200-300 years of weathering, lichen growth and ground movement. In some cases, they have been toppled and moved by maturing trees.
