I’m pretty convinced now that Uruha will fight Yukifu. Yukifu is whiney and comes off kind of like a spoiled brat (or at least as much of a spoiled brat as you can be living in the Evil Bug Cave™️) meanwhile I don’t think Uruha has ever complained about anything in his whole life
Also I love Shurin. Literally removing your face in front of your peers out of shame because you don’t have the same markers of “purity” as them is really cool
I also like that he walks up to Mr Sorcery Bureau and immediately starts trauma dumping. Weird guy
I do think this is a scenario that benefits from the time jump. Seeing the Mikaboshi learn about and experience the Enchanted Blades for the first time and getting their perspective is by far the most interesting way of conveying this information imo
What a truly strange group of people, Jump editorial is
Like keep in mind, before the year is done Kagurabachi will likely be the only series besides One Piece that sells over 100k in a month per volume that’s still ongoing in the magazine. It has an anime coming out in half a year that will surely explode its popularity even further
I can’t explain why, but I think these two will have a very strange friendship. They’ll fight, realize they kinda fw each other, and then Ibuki will kill him and it’ll be sad. Mark my words
I figured a time jump would happen eventually. The war is a year and five months of time and we were never gonna see every single moment. We know Japan loses badly until the Enchanted Blades show up, and we know how strong the Mikaboshi are from the Irishima Talks. It makes sense
Obviously I still want to know what happened in those first 8 months and I hope Hokazono isn’t feeling pressured to rush through the remainder of the arc, but realistically if there was any part of the war that would be skipped over, its the first half 😭 it’ll be fine
I think all three of these characters have interesting relationships with taking roles. Ibuki hates himself and has decided he’s not someone who should use an EB, Samura feels similarly but still reluctantly agrees, and Akemura is the only one who asks for it directly
